About the application

This application is for anyone running for office. To ensure the event remains a safe, inclusive, and family-friendly experience for all attendees, we have set the following guidelines for booth participants:

Family-Friendly Content: All displays, activities, and handouts should be appropriate for a family audience, including young children. Avoid overly graphic, violent, or scary imagery.
No Hate or Discrimination: Absolutely no displays, materials, costumes, or activities that promote hate speech, discrimination, or any form of bigotry are allowed. This includes any symbols, gestures, language, or messages that may be offensive or harmful.
Booth Safety: Ensure that your booth is set up securely and safely, minimizing tripping hazards and keeping sharp objects out of reach.
Handouts and Goodies: If you're handing out treats or goodies, please make sure they are pre-packaged and safe for children. Provide a list of ingredients or allergen information where necessary.
Interactivity: Any interactive activities or games at the booth should be safe and suitable for children of all ages. Ensure that any equipment or props used are in good condition and free from hazards.
Attire: All individuals manning the booths should wear appropriate and respectful costumes. Avoid any costumes that may be considered offensive or inappropriate.
Noise Levels: Music and sound effects are not permitted at your booth.
Clean Up: Participants are responsible for cleaning their booth area both during and after the event. Please leave the area as you found it.
Respectful Behavior: All booth attendees and organizers must be respectful and courteous to event attendees, other booth participants, and event staff. Any form of harassment will not be tolerated.
Booth Approval: All booth content, including displays, handouts and activities, should be pre-approved by the event organizers. This is to ensure that all content aligns with the family-friendly and inclusive nature of the event.
Alcohol and Smoking: Booth participants can not consume alcohol or smoke at their booth.
Compliance: Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in the removal of your booth from the event without a refund.

About the event

The City of Winder will host the annual Spooktacular event. This year's theme is 'Winder and the Chocolate Factory". Along with the traditional trick-or-treating downtown, the event will have a inflatable party, hayrides, costume contest and more.

Terms & Conditions

All candidates will be placed in the "Candidate Corner". This area is separate from the trick-or-treat area but still in the event space. In this space, you will be able to be at the event the entirety of the event 5-9pm.
