About the application

Local organizations, business or individuals can take this opportunity to decorate a Christmas Tree for all to see on the Courthouse Square.  Spectators will stroll through downtown enjoying hot cocoa & hot apple cider, checking out vendors and activities and admiring all the lights and beautifully decorated trees.

About the event

Join us on December 1st, 2nd and 3rd, 2023, for the First Annual Christmas on the Square festival in Mountain View, AR. Santa himself will be there both days, spreading holiday cheer to children of all ages. So, bring your wish lists and capture a special moment with Santa. We will also have Santa's Workshop where children can create their own Christmas decorations and other crafts. Enjoy food vendors, shop in our Tinsel Town craft vendor area, join in singing Christmas carols, playing games and so much more! Saturday, December 2nd, we will have a parade down Main St. followed by our big "Light Up the Square" ceremony. We can't wait to see the Square lit up like never before. Stay tuned for more exciting details about this amazing celebration as we continue to unveil the details of our First Annual Christmas on the Square! Mark your calendars and spread the word about this fun weekend for the whole family.

Terms & Conditions

  • • Anyone person, organization or business can sponsor a tree.• The cost of sponsorship is $50 for the cost of the tree (provided) plus the cost of a tree stand, lights and decorations (purchased by you). You can decorate as simple or elaborate as you wish but please remember trees will be on display outside for 2 days and then auctioned off to highest bidders.• Proceeds will be donated towards the local "Shop with a Cop" and "Officer Santa" programs.• Trees will be provided.  They are 6-8 feet tall freshly cut pine trees and will come from an Arkansas Christmas Tree Farm.• Designated spaces will be randomly drawn and assigned upon arrival to the Courthouse Square.  You must check in with the chamber member present.• Electricity will be provided but you must provide a tree stand, all decorations, all lights and extension chords. Extension chords will be returned - please mark/label them so we know who to return them to.• Trees will be available after 5pm on Nov 30th.  We would love for your tree to be decorated by 5pm on Friday night (kids Christmas program on the stage at 5pm) but they must be decorated no later than 3pm on Saturday, December 2nd.  Vehicles will NOT be allowed near the courthouse square after 9am on the 2nd, please plan accordingly. • You are allowed to place signs and/or logos in your display.  • We require 3-4 point anchors to prevent trees from tipping over.  We will provide anchors and wire.
