About the application

Thank you in your interest in being a Holiday Float at this year's Holiday Main St. Fest and Parade. We will review all float submissions and approve based on our event guidelines and requirements. Be sure that your float is fully decorated with festive touches and holiday lights. There will be no Santa Claus themed floats in the parade other than the one Santa that the city will contract to be the Santa Claus for the whole event, we want to be sure that we only have one Santa Claus at the event to keep it as realistic as possible for the kids, and multiple Santa Claus's could be a little confusing.

Get ready for a festive celebration like no other! Join us for the Holiday Main St. Fest and Parade on December 2nd from 5-8p at Rowlett Downtown Green. This exciting event promises to be a magical evening filled with holiday cheer, delicious food, unique crafts, and a dazzling Parade of Lights. The Holiday Main St. Fest will feature a wide array of holiday craft and food vendors. From handmade ornaments and unique gifts to scrumptious treats and savory delights, there will be something for everyone to enjoy. The Parade of Lights will traverse through Main Street, spreading joy and holiday spirit to all who witness this enchanting spectacle. It's a perfect way to kick off the holiday season, immerse yourself in the festive atmosphere, and create lasting memories. See you all there!

Terms & Conditions

By applying to be afloat you are acknowledging, and accepting the following:  
  • My floats will be fully decorated.
  • There will be walkers walking alongside my float passing out candy to kids.
  • There will be no throwing candy from the float to the street. This could be a danger to the kids trying to collect it.
  • My float will be festive and respectful to all.
  • The city has the right to approve and deny all floats applying to be on the parade.
  • My float will not have a Santa Claus on board. 
Once you are approved the parade float fee will be charged.
