About the application

The City of Tuscaloosa will host the seventh annual Tech or Treat on Tuesday, Oct. 24 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Gateway Innovation and Discovery Center, located at 2614 University Blvd East.
Tech or Treat is a free community event for children and families. At each table, children are introduced to science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) opportunities by interacting with City departments and community organizations and collecting candy!  
 

About the event

Do you have a little princess, superhero, goblin or ghoul who loves science and technology? Gather up your trick-or-treat enthusiasts and join the City of Tuscaloosa for Tech or Treat at the Gateway on Tuesday, October 24 from 6 to 8 p.m. Similar to "trunk-or-treat," at the City’s Tech or Treat, families go from table to table collecting candy. At each table, children are introduced to science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) opportunities by interacting with City departments and community organizations. Tech or Treat is free and open to all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Terms & Conditions

We will provide each booth with a table, chairs, and black tablecloth. Each booth must provide their own candy to give out, we recommend 1,000 pieces per booth. In addition to candy, please have another giveaway item, STEAM demonstration, or short and simple activity.
