About the event

Now in our 49th year, the Gatlinburg Craftsmen's Fair features the best shopping experience for handmade items anywhere in the Southeast. This event is all indoors at the convention center in downtown Gatlinburg, TN, less than one mile from the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We feature live demonstrations of arts and crafts on site, live musical entertainment included for free, kids' crafts in the summer, and a family-friendly experience for all to share.

About the application

July 12-21, 2024 - Jury-selected artists and crafters. Show hours are 10 am to 5 pm daily, Monday - Sunday, indoors at the Gatlinburg Convention Center, Gatlinburg, TN. This event includes two time periods: July 12-16 (Period 1, 5 days, Friday - Tuesday), and July 17-21 (Period 2, 5 days, Wednesday-Sunday). Most participants opt for all 10 days. Be sure to hit "Submit" at the bottom of the form.

Terms & Conditions

Booth Selection -- 10 Days = $600, 5 Days = $400
Booths are chosen by a jury and assigned by event owners. For July 2024, we can accommodate up to 180 artisans. Upon submission, a $25 non-refundable application fee will be charged. A booth fee authorization will be created. If accepted, we will email you and the booth fee will be charged to hold your spot. Withdrawals can be refunded, less application fees, by notifying us in writing by email or certified mail outside of 60 days before set up for the event.
 
Other upcoming expenses may include a transient business license (if you don't have a business license in Tennessee, $2 per day that you participate); any orders for chairs, tables, etc.; an optional and recommended $80 for electricity (ordered in advance from the convention center). Most want to light the booth.
 
Event Facts & Requirements
Items must be handmade by the artisan applying. 
Jury selection requires: 
1) a booth photo of your professional display, and 
2) a photo of you working on your craft in your workspace 
3) at least 3 representative photos of items you produce
(Bonus: a photo of any demonstration you may do). 
Color photos are preferred.
If accepted to our event, your photos may be used for promotional purposes. 
4) We require a detailed description of your craft. No buy/sell items allowed.
5) A non-refundable $25 application fee and your booth fee authorization.
If not accepted, your booth fee will not be processed.
If accepted, a contract will be sent to you to accept or decline participation and your booth fee will be charged.

The event begins at 10 am on Friday, July 12, 2024, and ends at 5 pm on Sunday, July 21, 2024. 1st-period booth setup starts at 8 am on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, until 6 pm, and Thursday, July 11, 2024, from 8 am until 8 pm or later as needed. 1st-period booths must be completed no later than 9:00 am on Friday, July 12, 2024. 2nd-period move-in is at 7 pm, Tuesday, July 16, the night before your 1st day open, Wednesday, July 17. Vendors are responsible for the setup and tear down of booths. Show hours are 10 am to 5 pm daily.
 
Cut off for cancellation for fee refund (less application fee) is May 1, 2024, and must be received in writing at: Kelly@CraftsmenFair.com or by certified mail to: Gatlinburg Craftsmen's Fair, 805 Eleanor St, Knoxville, TN 37917. As professionals, please notify us in any case so that we may keep from inconveniencing participating exhibitors by moving them to cover for no-shows.
 
Food vendors must only sample to the public and sell items in bulk. You may not be in the business for consumption on-site due to a contract with the convention center's concessionaire. You must provide all equipment and documents required for local and state government entities. A link for a local environmental services form will be sent to you.
