About the application

The Eatonton- Putnam Chamber of Commerce and Visit Eatonton is pleased to announce the 23rd Annual Taste of Eatonton, Saturday, September 9, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at The Plaza Arts Center in Downtown Eatonton. We are excited for you to join us as we welcome the community back to one of Eatonton's biggest events of the year!  Important info:
  • As a vendor, you will provide 'tastes' ranging from $1.00 to $5.00. Attendees will purchase $1 food tickets at the entrance to the event. You're allowed to set your prices ranging from $1.00 to $5.00, however, the cap for each "taste" is 5 tickets or $5.00. In addition to the ticketed tastes, we are also allowing vendors to sell pre-made food goods such as canned jellies/jams, boxes of cookies, etc. 
  • Vendors will collect tickets throughout the night and give them to the Chamber at the conclusion of the evening. Within one week, checks will be sent to vendors with their total ticketed earnings.
Space is limited and will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis, so we encourage you to return the attached form as soon as possible. 

About the event

The Taste of Eatonton has come again for its 23rd year! On Saturday, September 9, 2023, we are excited to hold one of Eatonton's biggest, and tastiest, events of the year. The Taste of Eatonton features different restaurants of varying tastes from Georgia’s Lake Country and the Middle Georgia Region. The very best of the best gather to impress attendees with their skills, create delectable dishes, and showcase their best treats. Admission tickets are $20.00 and include (15) $1 food and drink tickets. Additional food and drink tickets are available for purchase online or at the entrance gate the day of the event. Vendors will provide 'tastes' ranging from $1.00 to $5.00. Vendors will also have pre-made food goods such as canned jellies/jams, cookies, etc. The Chamber is committed to helping small businesses, therefore, vendors will collect tickets throughout the night and give them to the Chamber at the conclusion of the evening. Within one week, checks will be sent to vendors with their total ticketed earnings. In addition to the tasty bites, wine & brews, and music, we will feature a car show and a VIP area along with all the tried-and-true favorites from Taste's past. Come join us and help celebrate small businesses, bring your appetite and join us for the area’s largest foodie event of the year! Note: Though we all love our furry pals, pets will not be allowed at this event.

Terms & Conditions

The Taste of Eatonton must comply with the requirements of the City of Eatonton, City of Eatonton Fire Department, City of Eatonton Police Department, Putnam County Board of Commissioners, Putnam County Department of Health, Putnam County Fire Department, and the Putnam County Sheriff's Department. Please read these rules and regulations of the festival, sign the last page, and return with the applicable registration fee(s) and copies of the appropriate insurance certificate(s), and food or Department of Agriculture permit(s). Application, vendor fee(s), and any applicable insurance certificate(s), and food or Department of Agriculture permit(s) are due to the Chamber office by Friday, August 18, 2023. We will provide ample site management for vendor check-in and setup to avoid possible problems before the event begins.  
  • Festival hours are 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.; setup time is 1:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Late setup will not be allowed. Vendors will receive detailed day-of-event information including a site layout and tiered check-in time prior to the event. 
  • "Tastes" should range in price from $1.00 to $5.00, as these are the event's advertised prices. Tastes should be a small portion of food, not full servings. By serving less food for less money, attendees will be able to spend, eat more, and visit more vendor booths, therefore everyone will be more successful! Attendees will purchase $1 food tickets at the entrance to the event and businesses will collect the tickets for payment throughout the night and provide those to the Chamber during site check out. Within one week of the event, checks will be sent to vendors with their applicable total ticketed earnings. 
  • NEW: In addition to their normal tastes, vendors have the ability this year to provide a special taste for our VIP participants. Your taste will be laid out in the VIP area, with the intention of having VIP participants taste the special sample to encourage them to visit your booth outside. If you would like to provide a special taste for our event, please indicate so on the appropriate question on the application.
  • Beer, wine, soft drinks, and bottled water will be sold at the concessionaire booths/applicable bars. Restaurant vendors MAY NOT sell beer, wine, soft drinks, or water. 
  • The City of Eatonton requires that each vendor site be cleaned prior to the vendor leaving the site, including all areas around the vendor's space. Failure to check out with event site management will result in forfeiting any food sales for the event. 
  • All vendor sites will be dependent upon logistical requirements such as electricity, alternating food types, and placement of open grills. Every effort will be made to accommodate special requests, but there will be no guarantees of site placement.
  • The Chamber has a limited number of tents available and will provide (one) 10x10 tent to vendors on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you have your own tent we kindly ask that you use it. The Chamber will provide all vendors with (one) six-foot table. You will need to supply your own extension cords. 
  • Per Fire & Safety Code, if you're cooking on-site, you must have a fire extinguisher at your tent or in your food truck (you must provide your own fire extinguisher-it is not provided by the Fire Department or the Eatonton Putnam Chamber of Commerce). 
  • Per Fire & Safety Code, Tents using warming and cooking devices:
    • Warming devices must be placed on a non-combustible surface if placed on a tabletop. Examples of warming devices include but are not limited to; Sterno warming fuel cans, electric skillets, and hot plates.
    • All grills must be located outside of the tent.

Current Chamber Investor $100.00 Non-refundable This vendor booth space rate of $100.00 is for current Eatonton-Putnam Chamber of Commerce Investors in good standing. (1) 6' table, small serving plates or bowls, forks, spoons, and napkins.
Non- Investor $150.00 Non-refundable This booth space fee of $150.00 is for vendors who are not investors of the Eatonton- Putnam Chamber of Commerce. (1) 6' table, small serving plates or bowls, forks, spoons, and napkins.
Business Sales $50.00 Non-refundable In addition to any other chosen vendor level, this rate is for vendors who wish to sell pre-packaged goods such as jellies, jams, boxes of cookies, etc. in addition to their ticketed tastes.
Promotion Booth $50.00 Non-refundable If you're unable to be present at the Taste but would like to provide a special coupon for your organization, menus, etc. for distribution. We will have volunteers working at these booths.
