About the application

City of Fruita will be hosting its Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair on December 9, 2023. We look forward to you joining us as a vendor. 
 
We have updated our vendor process this year to improve the vendor and customer experience.  Please carefully review our application questions, selection criteria, and requirements for application thoroughly before applying.  
 
Please note that you will not be charged the vendor fees until you have been accepted for approval. You will need to input a valid credit card so if you are approved your fees can be processed.  
 
Vendors will be selected based upon the following criteria: 
1. Quality of product
When judging quality, the City of Fruita reserves the right, in the interest of the fair and participants and other vendors, to refuse any vendor applicant or to reject any vendor from participation at any time during the festival when quality has been compromised. 
 
2. Balance of product/service mix
The City of Fruita reserves the right to determine the mix of products and services that will be offered at the fair, balancing product types and vendor experience. 
 
3. History of business partnerships
The City of Fruita recruits vendors that have good references from other partnerships.  In the event that a vendor applicant has never sold at the festival before, the city may require an interview to determine whether the possible vendor has the integrity of product and customer service skills required. 
 
A vendor at the Arts and Crafts Fair is expected to be consistently able and interested in meeting customers graciously and with a desire to share product information willingly. A history of contentiousness with customers, other vendors, or Festival staff will rule out participation in this Festival.

Terms & Conditions

Requirements of all vendors at the Fruita Arts and Crafts Fair
 
  • The Arts and Crafts Fair will not accept any vendors that sell, advertise, or promote obscene or illegal material or activities, including advocacy of unlawful action or fighting words. 
  • The Arts and Crafts Fair will not accept any vendors that wish to fundraise, promote, or campaign for any political group, candidate, issue, or policy. 
  • Full application, including photos.
  • All vendors must have a City of Fruita special event business license by November 20,2023 at 5:00pm and are required to follow state sales tax filing procedures.
    • City of Fruita licenses are available at the Civic Center or online. Fillable Form attached below or you can learn more at https://www.fruita.org/administration/page/business-licenses
    • Please return all City of Fruita license applications and process fees to the Fruita Civic Center and Deb Woods.
    • State of Colorado sales tax information will be provided in application process and is available through the Colorado Department of Revenue.
  • Products sold at the Arts and Crafts Fair will match product descriptions and photos submitted in the application process.
    • Vendors are not allowed to sublet their vendor space. Only the applicant with submitted information and photos is able to use the vendor space provided. 
    • Discrepancies from the application process will be noted for future year applications from vendors. 
  • All vendors will load in during designated times and clean up during designated times
  • All vendors will abide by all Fruita Community Center facility rules
    • Due to our facility rules, no food vendors will be allowed.  This includes prepackaged food.

10x10 booth $50 Non-refundable Single booth space is 10' wide and 10' deep. Each space will include one 8 foot table and 2 chairs within the space for use.
Corner Booth (gym only) SOLD OUT Non-refundable This space will also be a 10x10 foot space but will be placed on a corner of the gym aisles. This corner booth will have two sides open to public viewing. This space will include one 8 foot table and 2 chairs.
Electrical Outlet Access $15 Non-refundable One 120v outlet will be available for your booth if you select this option. Electrical outlets are limited and only available to booths which purchase this additional fee.
Extra 8' Table $20 Non-refundable If you would like an additional 8' table for your 10'x10' booth space, please click this option. (Please note each booth space comes with a single 8 foot table and 2 chairs included in the booth price).
