PADI Mermaid and Basic Mermaid Tickets

PADI Basic Mermaid students will learn background in mermaid stories and lore, how to put on a monofin and tail, stretches, self rescue skills, basic safe breath hold techniques, weighting for buoyancy, surface diving, water entry and exit, buddy procedures, and equipment care. PADI Mermaid students will learn everything from Basic Mermaid as well as static and dynamic apnea dive skills, exhaling descents, backward somersault turns, team combinations, mermaid bubbles, back gliding, C-shape and U-shape turns, and buddy procedures for dynamic apnea. PADI Basic Mermaid Prerequisites: - At least 6 years old. Minors must have a parent or guardian present. - Be able to swim 25 meters (80 feet) comfortably without any aids and float at the surface for at least 3 minutes. - No previous mermaiding or freediving experience required! PADI Mermaid Prerequisites: - At least 10 years old. Minors must have a parent or guardian present. - Be able to swim 50 meters (160 feet) comfortably without any aids and float at the surface for at least 5 minutes. - No previous mermaiding or freediving experience required! Equipment needed: - Towel - Swimsuit - Change of clothing - Mask and snorkel - Bifins - Monofin and mermaid tail
