Rockdale Farmers Market – Vendor Terms & Conditions To help create a safe, welcoming, and community-focused market experience, all vendors participating in the Rockdale Farmers Market must agree to the following Terms & Conditions. 1. Market Schedule & Attendance The Rockdale Farmers Market operates Sundays from June 7 – October 25, 2026, from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM. • Vendor load-in begins at 11:30 AM • Vendors must be fully set up by 12:45 PM • Early breakdown is not permitted • Vendors are expected to remain open until 4:00 PM unless market management closes early for safety reasons Repeated late arrivals or absences may affect future participation and vendor approval status. 2. Booth Setup & Equipment Vendors are responsible for providing their own: • Tent • Tables • Chairs • Display materials • Signage For safety: • All tents must be weighted with a minimum of 25–40 lbs per leg • Unweighted tents will not be permitted to open •Displays must remain stable, secure, and safe for public interaction Electricity is not available onsite.Small, quiet gas-powered generators are permitted if safely operated and not disruptive to neighboring vendors. 3. Weather Policy The market operates rain or shine.Booth fees are non-refundable, including vendor cancellations, weather-related absences, scheduling conflicts, or other personal circumstances. In cases of severe weather, emergencies, or other force majeure situations, market management reserves the right to delay opening, close early, or cancel the market for public safety. 4. Vendor Categories & Approved Products Vendors may only display and sell products that were submitted and approved through the application process.Products outside your approved category may not be sold without prior written approval from market management. We are currently accepting applications from: • Farmers and growers • Cottage food producers • Georgia Department of Agriculture regulated food producers • Georgia Department of Public Health permitted prepared food vendors • Bakers and specialty food makers • Artisan and handmade vendors aligned with market standards All displays and merchandise must remain family-friendly and appropriate for a public community event. Political campaigning, political signage, and campaign merchandise are not permitted. 5. Food Vendor Licensing & Regulations The Rockdale Farmers Market proudly supports local growers, bakers, makers, and food entrepreneurs while maintaining safe and legal food practices for our community. All food vendors must operate within applicable Georgia laws and regulations before participating in the market. Approved food vendor categories include: • Farmers and growers selling raw agricultural products • Georgia Cottage Food operators • Georgia Department of Agriculture licensed food producers • Georgia Department of Public Health permitted prepared food vendors • Licensed mobile beverage and coffee vendors • Food trucks and temporary food service operations Georgia Cottage Food Information Georgia Cottage Food laws apply only to certain shelf-stable foods that do not require refrigeration for safety. Examples of approved Cottage Foods include: • Breads, cookies, brownies, cakes, and pastries • Fruit pies • Jams, jellies, and preserves • Candies and confections • Granola, trail mixes, and dry goods • Dry herbs, teas, and spice blends • Popcorn and cotton candy • Dried fruits and nuts The following products generally require additional permitting and are NOT considered Cottage Foods: • Fresh salsa or refrigerated dips • Carts serving prepared food or beverages • Smoothies or blended drinks • Refrigerated desserts • Hot prepared foods • Meat, poultry, seafood, dairy, or egg-based prepared foods As of July 1, 2025, Georgia no longer requires a state-issued Cottage Food license for qualifying products under HB 398. Vendors are still fully responsible for complying with all Georgia labeling, food safety, and approved food category requirements. Unlicensed or unregulated prepared food operations will not be permitted at the market. 6. Payments &Booth Fees All vendor applications and payments are processed through Eventeny. Vendors must select each market date individually during the application process. Please only apply for dates you are fully committed to attending. Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance into the market. All applications are reviewed prior to approval.Once approved, the payment method on file will be automatically charged for all approved dates selected within the application. Charges may process as individual line items but will be processed at the same time upon approval. If you need to request payment arrangements for multiple approved dates, please contact market organizers prior to applying. Payment accommodations may be considered on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed. All booth fees are non-refundable and non-transferable, including cancellations, weather-related absences, scheduling conflicts, or no-shows. 7. Safety &Cleanliness Vendors are responsible for maintaining a clean and safe booth space throughout the event. • Walkways must remain clear • Cords and equipment must not create tripping hazards • Vendors must remove all trash and materials at the end of the market day Unsafe setups must be corrected immediately upon request from market management. 8. Vendor Conduct & Professionalism Vendors are expected to represent themselves and the market professionally and respectfully.The following are prohibited: • Aggressive sales behavior • Harassment or disruptive conduct • Inappropriate language or behavior • Alcohol consumption by vendors during market hours • Weapons, illegal substances, or unlawful activity on market property 9. Market Management Rights Rockdale Farmers Market reserves the right to: • Approve or deny vendor applications • Limit or balance vendor categories • Request product changes or removals • Remove vendors violating market policies • Modify market policies as necessary to support a safe and successful market season Participation in the market indicates agreement to all terms listed above.
