Tanoshii Con’s cosplay guidelines are designed to keep everyone safe and comfortable while having fun. Costumes should be respectful, family-friendly, and avoid anything overly revealing, offensive, or containing hate symbols. All props—especially anything resembling a weapon—must meet our safety standards. This means they must be made from lightweight, non-metal, non-sharp materials and may need to go through our peace-bonding check. Real weapons, functioning firearms, lasers, and props with dangerous or excessive spikes or points are not permitted. For large or bulky costumes, a handler may be required to assist with navigation. Cosplayers whose costumes limit their vision should also take extra precautions to ensure safety for themselves and others.
