The father of American popular music as we know it, Louis Armstrong created the language and style inherent in all American music, finding his way into 6 generations of hits such as "Hello Dolly", "When the Saints go Marching In", and What a Wonderful World". Trumpeter and singer Michael Cruse performs regularly at the Louis Armstrong House in Queens, as well at the LIncoln Center, bringing the spirit of "Satchmo" alive.
