Vendor Selection & Season Participation -Vendor space is limited and participation is not guaranteed. -Full-season and half-season vendors will be reviewed and accepted first. -Weekly vendors will be considered based on remaining availability. -Vendors applying for a full or half season are still required to select all dates they plan to attend as part of the application process. -The Market reserves the right to balance vendor categories to ensure a diverse and well-rounded market experience and to limit product duplication where appropriate. Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance. Vendor Categories: -Farmers & growers -Artisan & handcrafted goods vendors -Food vendors, bakeries, and food trucks -Select direct sales vendors, service providers, and nonprofit/community organizations (limited availability) Vendor categories and availability may be limited to maintain market balance and diversity. Market Hours & Set-Up Times -Market hours are 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. -Vendors may begin arriving for set-up at 7:00 a.m. -All vehicles must be removed from designated market grounds by 8:30 a.m. -Vendors must be fully set up and ready for business by market opening. -Vendors arriving after 8:30 a.m. may be admitted at the discretion of the Market Manager and will be required to cart items to their booth location. Booth Spaces & Setup -Standard booth space is 10’ x 10’. -Vendors requiring additional space (e.g., 10’ x 20’) must select the appropriate quantity during the application process. -Vendors must provide all setup materials, including tents, tables, chairs, tent weights, extension cords, signage, and any equipment needed for operation. -Staking into the ground is not permitted. All tents must be properly weighted. -Booth placement is determined by the Market Manager and may vary by date. Electricity -Electric access is limited and not guaranteed. Vendors requiring electricity will be accommodated as capacity allows, with priority given to food vendors and seasonal participants. -All electrical needs must be disclosed during the application process. Food Vendors & Food Trucks (For the purpose of this market, food vendors and food trucks include any vendor selling consumable items, including but not limited to prepared foods, baked goods, packaged foods, beverages, and edible specialty items). -Food vendors are required to hold licensed certification as a Food Vendor from a recognized and approved agency. Load-In, Vehicles & Parking -Vehicles are not permitted to remain behind booth spaces. -Vendors located within the venue or street areas must be prepared to use carts or dollies to transport items. -Vendor parking locations and site maps will be communicated in advance of each market date. Attendance & Breakdown -Vendors are expected to remain open for the duration of the market. -Early breakdown is discouraged and permitted only at the discretion of the Market Manager. -Vendors who sell out early must keep their booth intact and may post a “sold out” sign. Weather Policy -The Fox Pointe Farmers Market will operate rain or shine. In the event of severe or unsafe weather conditions, the market may be canceled for the safety of vendors and guests. When possible, vendors will receive advance notice of cancellations. Permits, Licenses & Insurance -Vendors must submit all applicable licenses, permits, and certifications required for their business. -Vendors must provide a Certificate of Insurance naming the Village of Lansing as additional insured: Village of Lansing – Fox Pointe 18138 Henry Street Lansing, IL 60438 The Market reserves the right to: -Refuse or revoke vendor participation for rule violations or disruptive behavior -Adjust booth placement, layout, or operations as needed -Remove products deemed unsafe, illegal, or inappropriate for the market environment Indemnification & Agreement By submitting an application, vendors agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless the Village of Lansing, Fox Pointe, and all market staff from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from participation in the market. Vendors certify that they have read, understand, and agree to all market rules and guidelines.
