CousinzCon is the official pre-festival summit before Cousinz Festival — a one-day, nonpartisan event designed to educate, train, and mobilize our community around criminal justice reform, civic engagement, and culture.
Happening Friday, August 29, 2025, from 9:00 AM–5:00 PM at Norfolk State University’s Dorothy B. Brothers Auditorium, CousinzCon brings together Pusha T, FAMLAY, Antonio Dowe, and a powerhouse coalition of state and national organizations including JustUs Ideas, New Virginia Majority, All Americans Vote, Working Families Power, Color Of Change PAC, SEIU, Onyx Impact, Black Men Vote, Mobilize Justice, and more.
Through Cousinz Conversations — dynamic, in-depth dialogues led by lived-experience leaders and cultural influencers — and hands-on action trainings, attendees will get the tools to make change in their communities. Sessions will spotlight the intersection of culture, policy, and leadership while offering practical steps for voter registration drives, rights restoration, and grassroots advocacy.
