About the event

Baltimore's Civil Rights Week has been more than an event. It has been a declaration, a reminder that the work of equity is not finished, and that our city refuses to wait. This year, we go further. Civil Rights Week 2026, hosted by Mayor Brandon M. Scott and the Baltimore City Office of Equity and Civil Rights, moves beyond commemoration. Under the theme, From Promise to Power, this year's convening is a call to action. From October 2 - 9, civic leaders, business executives, scholars, organizers, philanthropists, elected officials, and everyday Baltimoreans will gather for a week of transformative events spanning youth empowerment, public safety accountability, fair labor, disability rights, maternal health, and more. At a time when civil rights are being challenged, dismantled, and dismissed across this country, Baltimore is choosing a different path. Under Mayor Scott's leadership, and through the work of the Office of Equity and Civil Rights, this city continues to affirm that equity is not optional, it is foundational. These events aim to celebrate the equitable advancement of Baltimore City while uniting community leaders, residents, scholars, policymakers, business leaders, philanthropists, and so many others. Across the country, we are seeing growing attempts to dismiss systemic injustice, defend exclusion, and discredit diversity as a threat rather than one of our nation’s greatest strengths. Under Mayor Scott’s leadership, and championed through the Baltimore City Office of Equity and Civil Rights, Baltimore is boldly rejecting that narrative. About the application

As a Power Architect, your organization stands at the forefront of Civil Rights Week. Not just as a funder, but as a founding force. This premier sponsorship includes naming rights to the 33rd Annual Civil Rights Breakfast ("Presented by [Sponsor]"), onstage presentation and remarks during the Breakfast, and the exclusive opportunity for a representative to introduce the Keynote Speaker. You'll host a reserved first-row table for ten guests, receive a full-page ad in the Breakfast program, and be recognized by name at every Civil Rights Week event throughout the week. Beyond the Breakfast, your brand will be featured across all event advertisements, the OECR website, and dedicated social media content year-round.
