National Night Out Sponsorship Terms & Conditions
Sponsorship Amount
The National Night Out sponsorship fee is $250. Full payment and a completed sponsorship form must be received by the stated deadline.
Sponsorship Benefits
Sponsorship includes:
Sponsor logo on the official event sponsor banner
Recognition on the City’s website
Recognition in collective City social media posts
Recognition during event announcements
Inclusion in the City’s post-event sponsor acknowledgment
Sponsorship does not include booth space, vendor privileges, exclusivity, tickets, or guaranteed individual promotional posts.
No City Endorsement
Recognition of a sponsor does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, or approval of the sponsor or its products, services, views, or activities by the City of Gun Barrel City.
City Approval
All sponsorships, logos, names, and materials are subject to City approval. The City may decline or cancel a sponsorship that is inconsistent with the event’s public purpose, the City’s policies, or applicable law.
Prohibited Sponsorships and Content
Sponsorship recognition may not include:
Political candidates, campaigns, political parties, political action committees, or election advocacy
Content supporting or opposing a ballot measure
Religious proselytizing
Obscene, discriminatory, threatening, or unlawful material
Promotion of illegal products, services, or activities
Claims that imply City endorsement
Content considered inappropriate for a family-oriented public event
Governmental and Nonprofit Sponsors
Governmental entities and nonprofit organizations may participate if the sponsorship serves an authorized public or organizational purpose. Each participating organization is responsible for determining whether its funds may legally be used for the sponsorship and for obtaining any required approvals.
Logo Requirements
Sponsors must provide a high-resolution logo by September 18. Logos received after the deadline may be excluded from printed materials. The City may resize or adjust logos as necessary to maintain consistent formatting but will not materially alter them without permission.
Limited Permission to Use Logo
By submitting a logo, the sponsor confirms that it has the authority to use the logo and grants the City limited permission to reproduce it solely for National Night Out promotion and sponsor recognition.
Use of the City’s Name and Logo
Sponsors may identify themselves as National Night Out sponsors but may not use the City’s seal, logo, or branding in a manner suggesting City endorsement without prior written approval.
Payment and Refunds
Sponsorship payments are nonrefundable after promotional or printed materials have been produced. If the City cancels the event and cannot provide the promised recognition, the City may issue a refund or provide comparable recognition at its discretion.
Event Changes
The City may modify the event’s date, location, schedule, or sponsorship recognition due to weather, emergencies, public-safety concerns, or circumstances beyond the City’s control.
Public Information
Sponsorship forms, payments, correspondence, and submitted materials may be subject to disclosure under the Texas Public Information Act.
No Exclusivity
Sponsorship does not provide category exclusivity. The City may accept sponsorships from other organizations, including those offering similar products or services.
Compliance With Law
Sponsors must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Sponsorship funds may not be conditioned upon preferential treatment, influence over City decisions, or any official action.
Acceptance
Submission of payment and sponsorship materials constitutes acknowledgment and acceptance of these terms.
