About the event

Join us in paying homage to one of the world’s largest pop culture conventions while competing for drool-worthy prizes—and raising funds to build a WoodRUFF Dog Park! Doggy Con features a pet costume pageant, a vendor village of dog-centric goods and activities, face painting, a green screen photo booth, and plenty of pup culture. Food vendors include Refuge Coffee, The Cereal Lab, and Mocha Pops. A registration fee is required for each competing pet, and all proceeds will directly support the construction of a future dog park. Register online for $20 or at the event for $25 (if you simply want to attend as a spectator, registration is free). This year's pageant will be emceed by local media maven Mara Davis and judged by Atlanta City Councilmember Amir Farokhi, local artist Catlanta aka Rory Hawkins, costume designer and cosplayer Yaya Han, and dog influencer Super Murph the French Bulldog. Prizes will be awarded in six categories: Best in Show; Best Doggy/Human Dynamic Duo; Best Character Cosplay; Biggest “Aww” Factor; Best Small But Mighty Pup; and Best Big Buddy. We have amazing prizes from our vendors and partners valued at over $1,000, including a 5-day membership to Dragon Con and gift baskets from The Whole Dog Market.

About the application

Apply here to become a Doggy Con sponsor. With your support, we can make this event a success, and in return your organization will garner great exposure among Atlanta-area pet owners, the Downtown community, and surrounding neighborhoods. This year, all proceeds will support the construction of the future WoodRUFF Dog Park. Your contribution is essential in bringing this new amenity to the Downtown Atlanta neighborhood. With your investment, we hope to break ground in 2022.

Terms & Conditions

The Atlanta Downtown Improvement District is a registered 501c3 non-profit but make sure you consult with a tax professional about your contribution since marketing benefits are included. The event will be cancelled in cases of extreme weather. The sponsorship is non-refundable.
