ABOUT US:
Since 1935, the Service League has been a consistent and stable presence in Cherokee County. As the oldest service organization in the county, the Service League is comprised of 100 women unified by one goal - to serve the children of Cherokee County. The Service League includes law enforcement, educators, medical professionals, business leaders, lawyers, and moms. These women all bring a different perspective and commit to volunteer a minimum
of 50 hours of service each year. The League relies 100% on volunteers to achieve our mission.
WHY WE NEED SPONSORS:
Our generous event sponsors are very
important to us and our mission.
Sponsorships total approximately one-third of our annual income for casework and enable the women of the Service League to assist hundreds of children in our community. The positive impact our
sponsors make to our mission reaches
children in every part of Cherokee County.
WHY SUPPORT US?:
The Service League receives requests from school counselors, social workers, teachers, and community agencies to help children with housing, utilities, vision, dental, and medical needs. We also meet other basic needs including clothing, school supplies, and more.
During the holidays, we provide gifts for multiple children from every school in Cherokee County. With roughly 62,000 children under eighteen in the county, our inbox is always full.
HOW WE DO IT:
Our fundraisers are the principal source of our funds. Riverfest Arts and Crafts Festival, the Reindeer Run for the Children, our Annual Gala & Benefit, and the Golfing FORE! the Children golf tournament are our four major fundraising events. At these events, our generous sponsors provide in-kind sponsorships to help offset the cost of the events, as well as contribute financially. All donations (big or small) make a difference in the life of a child.
