About the event

This free program offers Dover residents a firsthand look at local government and municipal operations and provides attendees an opportunity to help shape the future of the city. This series will increase citizens' knowledge of local government and introduce them to opportunities to be more involved as an active community member. Citizens Leadership Academy will include presentations from the Fire Chief, Police Chief, City Manager, Library Director, Superintendent of Schools, Community Services Director, Recreation Director, and more! The classes take place on Thursday evenings from 6:30-8:30pm, running October 8 through November 5, with one class taking place on Saturday, October 24 from 9:00am-2:00pm.
