About the application
The Pittsburg Youth Advisory Council (PYAC) serves as a youth advisory board to the Pittsburg City Council. The council provides local students an opportunity to develop leadership skills, participate in civic engagement, and contribute ideas that help shape the future of Pittsburg. Members serve as ambassadors for the City and represent the interests and perspectives of Pittsburg's youth.
The Pittsburg Youth Advisory Council encourages active participation in community service projects, local government initiatives, economic development discussions, beautification efforts, and special community events.

Terms & Conditions
By submitting an application, the applicant and parent/guardian acknowledge and agree to the following:
Applicants must be in grades 8-12 and reside within the Pittsburg area or attend Pittsburg ISD.
Submission of an application does not guarantee appointment to the Council.
Members are expected to attend meetings, participate in activities, and maintain good standing in school and the community.
Members must conduct themselves respectfully and professionally and serve as positive representatives of the City of Pittsburg.
Participation may include community service projects, leadership activities, public meetings, and City-sponsored events.
Applicants are responsible for their own transportation to and from Council activities unless otherwise arranged by the City.
The City may use approved photos, videos, and other media in accordance with the signed Media Release Authorization.
The City reserves the right to remove members for excessive absences, misconduct, or failure to meet Council expectations.
The City of Pittsburg may modify program requirements, schedules, or activities as needed.
