Fiesta En La Playa Chancla Throwing Contest

Think you've got the perfect throw? It's time to prove it! Join us for Fiesta en la Playa's Chancla Throwing Contest, where skill, accuracy, and a little bit of sass come together for one of the funniest events of the weekend.

Contestants will compete to see who can throw a traditional chancla the farthest and/or most accurately (depending on the competition format). Whether you're throwing for bragging rights or aiming to take home a prize, this crowd favorite is guaranteed to bring plenty of laughs and unforgettable moments.

Open to women ages 16 and older.

1. LIABILITY WAIVER & RELEASE
   By participating in the Fiesta en la Playa Chancla Throwing Contest, each participant acknowledges that they are voluntarily participating in this activity and assumes all risks associated with participation, including but not limited to slips, falls, strains, impacts, contact with thrown objects, weather conditions, and any other known or unforeseen hazards.
2. Participants certify that they are physically able to participate and agree to compete in a safe and responsible manner.
3. In consideration of being permitted to participate, each participant, on behalf of themselves and their heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, hereby releases, waives, discharges, and holds harmless Artisan Crafter Market LLC, ACM Texas, Fiesta en la Playa, Rockport Market Days, Quarter Moon Productions, event sponsors, vendors, volunteers, judges, staff, the property owner, and all affiliated organizations, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any and all claims, demands, actions, causes of action, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising out of or related to participation in the contest, including those resulting from ordinary negligence to the fullest extent permitted by law.
4. Participants also grant Fiesta en la Playa and its affiliated organizations permission to photograph, film, or otherwise record their participation and to use their name, image, voice, and likeness in promotional materials, advertising, social media, websites, and other marketing purposes without compensation or further approval.
5. Participants under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign the registration and waiver before participating.
6. By signing the registration form or otherwise participating in the Chancla Throwing Contest, each participant confirms that they have read, understand, and voluntarily agree to these Terms & Conditions and this Liability Waiver & Release.
