Sista Soul Fest DSM 2026: PRESS & MEDIA REGISTRATION
At Sista Soul Fest , we honor the strength of culture, storytelling, and visibility. Our theme this year is "We're Better Together" and we’re calling on passionate, professional media partners to help us amplify the movement.
We're looking for culture-conscious journalists, photographers, videographers, and content creators who are dedicated to covering community, Black womanhood, art, entrepreneurship, and cultural empowerment with integrity and intention.
✨ WHO QUALIFIES?
Press and media registration is open to journalists and creators who regularly produce editorial content. This includes:
- Writers, bloggers, and podcasters
- Photographers and videographers
- Producers, editors, and influencers
- Freelancers or staff for newspapers, magazines, blogs, podcasts, TV, or radio
Applicants should be attending specifically to cover Sista Soul Fest DSM 2026 through interviews, photography, recap coverage, or visual storytelling.
Terms & Conditions
PRESS PASS ACCESS
Approved press and media representatives will receive:
• Complimentary press access to Sista Soul Fest Des Moines 2026 on Sunday, August 30, 2026
• Official press credentials and/or check-in designation
• Access to designated media areas and approved event coverage opportunities
• Opportunities to connect with vendors, performers, organizers, community leaders, and attendees for interviews and storytelling
• Recognition opportunities through Sista Soul Fest Des Moines social media and promotional materials when applicable
Sista Soul Fest Des Moines is FREE and open to the public. Media credentials are intended to provide enhanced access and coverage opportunities during the event.
MEDIA GUIDELINES
• Submission of an application does not guarantee approval.
• All applicants will be notified of their approval status via email.
• Each member of a media, photography, videography, or content creation team must submit an individual application.
• Press credentials are non-transferable.
• Approved media representatives are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully while engaging with attendees, vendors, performers, and event staff.
• Sista Soul Fest reserves the right to revoke media credentials if guidelines are violated.
MEDIA USE & CONTENT SHARING
All approved media partners agree to the following:
• Media are encouraged to share coverage, photos, videos, interviews, and event highlights across their platforms.
• When posting event-related content, please tag and credit Sista Soul Fest whenever possible.
• Sista Soul Fest may request copies of photos, videos, interviews, or published coverage for future promotional, historical, grant, sponsorship, and marketing purposes, with proper credit given whenever possible.
• Commercial use of photos, video, or event content unrelated to editorial coverage may require separate written permission.
• Media representatives are expected to respect attendee privacy and obtain appropriate consent when conducting interviews or capturing close-up individual content.

Q: Who can apply?
A: Journalists, photographers, videographers, bloggers, podcasters, influencers, content creators, and storytellers with a portfolio or history of producing community-focused, cultural, editorial, or media content.
Q: Is there a fee to apply?
A: No. Press and Media Registration is free.
Q: Are travel expenses covered?
A: No. Media representatives are responsible for their own transportation, lodging, and related expenses.
Q: When will I receive confirmation?
A: Approval notifications will be sent via email after applications have been reviewed.
Q: What if I am not approved?
A: You are still welcome to attend! Sista Soul Fest Des Moines is free and open to the public.
FINAL NOTES
Sista Soul Fest Des Moines reserves the right to approve or deny any application. All decisions are final. Please ensure that all contact information, media outlets, websites, social media accounts, and portfolio links are accurate and current.
