About the event

The City of Katy is proud to present the Katy Rice Harvest Festival 2026, a vibrant celebration of our city’s rich agricultural roots, history, and community spirit! Join us for a full weekend of family-friendly fun at the newly redesigned Historic Town Square in front of Katy City Hall. This beloved annual event benefits the Rotary Club of Katy, with 100% of net proceeds reinvested directly into the Katy community through scholarships, nonprofit organizations, and local charities. Friday will be dedicated to vendor load-in, volunteer meetings, and operational run-throughs to ensure a seamless festival weekend. The festival officially kicks off Saturday from 10:00 AM–10:00 PM and continues Sunday from 12:00 PM–6:00 PM. Across two exciting days, guests can explore 100+ vendor booths featuring unique handcrafted goods, enjoy mouthwatering bites from food trucks, and take in live music throughout the weekend. The carnival returns, along with a lively beer garden, main-stage entertainment, and plenty of space to dance the night away. Families will love the Agriculture Adventure Area, interactive exhibits, and dedicated toddler zone—truly something for every age. This newly reimagined festival creates the perfect opportunity to discover new shops, revisit old favorites, savor delicious food, and build meaningful connections within Katy’s thriving community. Parking is easier than ever, with improved routes, expanded parking options, and free shuttle service to and from the Merrell Center throughout the festival. Rideshare is also encouraged, with exclusive discounts available for those who choose to ride with our partners. Come celebrate Katy’s heritage, support a great cause, and be part of a tradition that gives back to the community we all love. We can’t wait to welcome you to the Katy Rice Harvest Festival 2026!

About the application

*Please note that the parade is the Saturday before the Festival.  Parade is Saturday, October 3, 2026.

We’re excited to welcome you to the Katy Rice Harvest Festival Parade! This year, we’re encouraging all participants to help us bring even more color, creativity, and excitement to the parade. Based on community feedback, spectators are hoping to see more decorated floats and festive parade vehicles rather than standard, undecorated cars or trucks.

Let’s make this year’s parade a fun and memorable experience for everyone watching!

Terms & Conditions

Here's a professionally written Terms & Conditions section that is commonly used for festivals and municipal events. It protects the City of Katy and event organizers while remaining fair and easy to understand.

Festival Terms & Conditions
By purchasing admission, registering as a participant, vendor, sponsor, parade entrant, or otherwise participating in the Katy Rice Harvest Festival and related events, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

Event Modifications
The City of Katy, the Rotary Club of Katy, and the Katy Rice Harvest Festival Committee reserve the right to modify, postpone, reschedule, suspend, or cancel any portion of the festival or parade due to weather conditions, public safety concerns, acts of God, emergency situations, governmental orders, or any other circumstances beyond the control of the event organizers.

No Refund Policy
All ticket sales, vendor fees, sponsorships, parade entry fees, and other event-related payments are final and non-refundable.

No refunds, credits, exchanges, or transfers will be issued due to:

Inclement weather
Event postponement or cancellation
Changes to entertainment, attractions, schedules, or programming
Partial event closures
Acts of God
Public health emergencies
Utility failures
Security concerns
Governmental actions
Any other unforeseen circumstances beyond the control of the organizers
Weather Policy
The festival is a rain or shine event. Certain activities, attractions, or performances may be delayed, modified, or canceled if weather conditions are deemed unsafe.

The safety of guests, volunteers, vendors, participants, entertainers, staff, and emergency personnel will always take precedence.

Right to Cancel or Modify
The City of Katy, the Rotary Club of Katy, and the Katy Rice Harvest Festival Committee reserve the right to cancel, delay, relocate, modify, or shorten the event or parade at any time if conditions warrant such action.

Assumption of Risk
Attendance and participation are voluntary. Participants assume all risks associated with attending the festival or parade, including but not limited to weather conditions, crowds, uneven surfaces, noise, and other inherent risks associated with outdoor public events.

Final Authority
All decisions made by the City of Katy, the Rotary Club of Katy, the Festival Director, event management, law enforcement, emergency management personnel, or designated officials regarding event operations, cancellations, postponements, participant eligibility, or safety matters are final.

By participating in the Katy Rice Harvest Festival, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

I would also recommend adding a short one-line acknowledgment to your ticketing page and vendor application, such as:

"By submitting this application/purchasing tickets, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the Katy Rice Harvest Festival Terms & Conditions, including the No Refund Policy."
This makes the no-refund provision much easier to enforce if a dispute arises.
