MuuMuu Contest: Where Your Inner Pageant Queen Finally Gets Her Crown (and Maybe a Cocktail)
Did life forget to mail you your tiara? No worries. It’s time for Knoxville’s first-ever MuuMuu Contest at MuMu Fest, and this time, the crown is totally within reach.
Slip into your fiercest, funkiest, most fabulous MuuMuu and get ready to strut like the grocery store is your runway and the produce section is your adoring public. Channel your best Mrs. Roper vibes: big patterns, bigger personality, and enough confidence to power the whole festival.
No experience necessary, and there’s no talent portion (unless you count walking in a MuuMuu as a talent… which we do.)
Spots will fill up faster than a clearance rack of caftans. Grab your MuuMuu, holler at your friends, and sign up for the MuuMuu Contest at MuMu Fest today!

Competition Categories:
- Artful MuuMuu: Think wearable masterpiece. If Monet and a hibiscus had a baby, you’re in the right zone.
- Vintage Mrs. Roper Adjacent: Channel your inner sitcom queen. bold prints, big attitude, and maybe a cocktail in hand.
- Creative Twist: Franken-muumuu, glam-muu, cosplay-muu… if it makes people say “Wait, WHAT?!” this is your lane!
- Crowd Favorite: the people’s choice. If you can work the room and werk the fabric, this one’s yours.
OR Surprise us with something unexpected, quirky, or wildly imaginative.
Wear it loud, wear it proud, and let the muu-magic begin!
Terms & Conditions
Open to all ages, genders, and species (a dog in a MuuMuu? We're into it)!
Make sure you arrive by the stage at Emory Place (right in front of Crafty Bastard Brewery) by 1:45PM — the contest will start right at 2PM!
Prices
| Registration Fee | $10.00 | There is a $10 registration fee to participate. Proceeds will benefit Public Art Programs at Dogwood Arts! |
