About the application

Celebrate 40 years of Duluth Superior Pride by being in our PARADE! Decorate a float, your car, yourselves and walk, run, drive, skate down Tower Avenue in Superior on Sunday September 6th. Fill out the application below to be included. Admission into the Pride Parade is free.

 

The parade starts at noon on Sunday September 6th, 2026. You need to arrive by 11 to line up along Broadway Street Starting from Tower and continuing east. You will receive an email with more detailed instructions when the time gets closer. Please remember that this is a family friendly event.

Terms & Conditions

1. TERMS AND CONDITIONS 


1.1. Duluth Superior Pride’s (DS Pride) Parade Participation Terms and Conditions are applicable to all Participants wishing to participate in DS Pride’s Parade.


1.2. Throughout this document, a “Participant” is referred to as the individual, group, or company looking to be in the Pride Parade.


1.3. Any violation of any of the conditions within this document will affect the Participant’s continued involvement with DS Pride Parade. 


1.4. The Terms and Conditions are intended to provide clarity on the rights and responsibilities of DS Pride and Participants. 


1.5. The Participant Terms and Conditions are formulated in the context of the Mission, Vision, and Values of DS Pride. 


1.6. The Participant confirms that they are the age of majority, and take responsibility for any individual in their group under the age of majority, and have the authority to assume full responsibility for the behaviour of all persons participating in falling under this application. The Participant further agrees to comply with and enforce all applicable laws and regulations in connection with the event. 


1.7. DS Pride expects (and the contractual terms explicitly state) that the Participant and all their affiliates agree to operate in a manner that is consistent with the celebration of Pride in the communities by respecting the rights of all members of the community to participate in the event; by not presenting images or behaving in a manner that promotes or may promote degradation, stereotypes, hatred, or violence toward any person(s)/group(s); and by adopting and adhering to appropriate non-discrimination and equal opportunity policies as an organization. 


1.8. DS Pride retains the right to refuse any application without liability. DS Pride retains the right to cancel or modify Pride or Pride events at any time, in part or in full, without liability. .


2. APPLICATION INFORMATION 


2.1. All applications for the Pride Parade must be received through the DS Pride website, email, and/or by approval of the Parade Coordinator.


2.2. The act of receiving an online application shall not be deemed to impart or imply any obligation for DS Pride to accept the application. Upon DS Pride’s approval of an application, the successful applicant – the Participant - will be notified electronically of their acceptance into Pride Parade 2026. 


2.3. Applications will be considered incomplete if not completed in full. Incomplete applications will not be considered. 


3. GENERAL CONDITIONS 


3.1. DS Pride may not be held liable for lost or stolen items during the Pride Parade


3.2. The Participant agrees to use appropriate language on the mic and realizes that Pride Parade is an all-ages, family-inclusive event. Any Participant's name that includes unsuitable language or profanity will be modified for family friendly events. Nudity or partial nudity will not be permitted nor will imitations of unsuitable acts. If the Participant has any questions about what is permitted at family friendly events, suggestions for name changes, or need clarification, please reach out to the Parade Coordinator or DS Pride Co-Chairs. Behaviors suitable for family friendly events are at the discretion of the DS Pride Board. Any violation of the above may result in removal from the Pride Parade and/or review of future DS Pride participation.


3.3. The Participant must accept and understand that DS Pride is a non-profit organization and relies on sponsorships. The Participants agree that entertainment programming may be presented by or in part with sponsorship in some capacity. Photos taken by DS Pride’s professional photographer at the Mayors’ Reception, Pride Festival, and Pride Parade will be used for DS Pride promotions. Upon submitting their application, the Participant gives consent for these photos as stated above. If there are any questions, please email dspride1@gmail.com


3.4. The Participant will not present images or messages that promote or condone violence, hatred, degradation or negative stereotypes of any person(s)/group(s). 


6. SAFETY / UNIFORMED SECURITY OFFICER 


6.1. DS Pride is not responsible for the security of any equipment, vehicles, marketing materials or anything else brought onto the site. 


6.2. All Participants are responsible for the safety and security of their own goods and equipment, and must ensure the safety of the public by limiting any possible access to their equipment at any time. 


7. LIABILITY RELEASE 


7.1. In consideration of the acceptance of this application and permission to participate as a Participant for DS Pride, the Participant waives and forever discharges DS Pride staff, board, volunteers, and suppliers, the Cities of Duluth and Superior, and all other associations, sanctioning bodies and sponsoring companies, and all their respective agents, officials, servants, contractors, representatives, volunteers, staff, elected and appointed officials, successors and assigns OF AND FROM ALL claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses, actions and causes of action, whether in law or equity, in respect of death, injury, loss or damage to my person or property HOWSOEVER CAUSED, arising or to arise by reason of their participation in the said event, whether as an artist, spectator, participant, competitor or otherwise, whether prior to, during or subsequent to the event, AND NOTWITHSTANDING that the same may have been contributed to, or occasioned by the negligence of any of the aforesaid.
