The City of Roanoke, TX will host several pie-eating competitions during the July 3rd All American Fireworks & Festival. There is no registration fee to enter the competition. This online form covers both entry and waiver forms needed to participate. A maximum of 10 contestants will compete per round.
AGE GROUPS & TIMELINE:
- 5:00 PM - Registration Opens
- 5:30 PM - Group 1: Girls–Ages 5-9
- 5:50 PM - Group 2: Boys–Ages 5-9
- 6:10 PM - Group 3: Girls–Ages 10-16
- 6:30 PM - Group 4: Boys–Ages 10-16
- 6:50 PM - Group 5: Girls–Ages 17+
- 7:15 PM - Group 6: Boys–Ages 17+
Terms & Conditions
A completed liability waiver must be on file for each contestant prior to competing. Participants under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian submit the waiver on their behalf.
WAIVER
I understand participating in a pie-eating competition involves consuming large amounts of food in a short period of time, which is a potentially hazardous and uncomfortable activity. By participating, I acknowledge that I am medically capable of taking part in this activity, am properly trained and choose to do so voluntarily. I agree to participate in a safe, respectful, and sportsmanlike manner. I agree to abide by any decision of the contest officials and all of the contest rules. I assume all risks associated with participation in this event, including but not limited to indigestion, discomfort, contact with other contestants, and the possibility of never looking at pie the same way again. All such risks are knowingly and willingly accepted by me.
Contestants will acknowledge there are risks associated with this event, which include, but are not limited to personal injury, risk of illness and possibly death, and risk of loss or damage to personal property. Contestant voluntarily enters this eating contest and in doing so assumes all of these risks. Contestant has read all of the above rules and agrees to follow them. Contestant also hereby swears that to the best of their knowledge they are physically and mentally fit to compete in this contest.
Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of you accepting my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the City of Roanoke and all associates, volunteers, sponsors, vendors as well as any of their affiliates and successors from any and all claims of liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event.
