How Scoring Works
While this is branded as an Audience vote contest, craftsmanship is still very important, our Master Level Judge retains a majority of the weight in determining final placements.
The Audience vote has the most weight in determining the winner of the performance category.
All Craftsmanship categories are weighed at a 75% craftsmanship / 25% Performance.
The Audience does not hold final say on any aspect of the contest, prizes, or placements.
Our Master level judge maintains an unbiased opinion, placements are determined by a combination of skill level, difficulty, and stage presence. Any discrepancies in vote and skill level will be resolved by her.
About the Judge
With over a decade of crafting experience, numerous contests ran, and international acclaim for her cosplays. Alecta Arcana has been a staple of the Texas con scene for over a decade. She has coordinated the cosplay contest for major shows such as AnimeVerse Fest Houston, IKKiCON, Kameha Con, Anime Houston, Anime Dallas, and over 30 other conventions across the US.
