Thank you for your interest in participating in the Waycross-Ware County Christmas Parade in Waycross! We’re excited to have you be part of this beloved holiday tradition that brings our community together each year. We welcome entries from local businesses, organizations, schools, churches, and community groups—your participation helps make this event festive, memorable, and full of Christmas spirit.
Please complete the application below with as much detail as possible. We can’t wait to see your creativity on display!
Terms & Conditions
Please review the following information and discuss with all participants in the parade. It is very important to the success of the parade and the full enjoyment and safety of all participants and spectators that all participants in the parade know their responsibilities. Participation will not be allowed if you fail to comply to with these simple instructions.
- The parade will begin from Pernell Roberts Park (formerly known as Mary Street Park). Only vehicles and floats in the parade will be allowed in the park. Lineup will begin at 3:00 PM on December 6. Large entries are encouraged to arrive early. Vehicles delivering bands and participants must park outside of the staging area on available street space. Please arrive no later than 5:00 PM.
- Entries with music may test their sound system on arrival but are to turn off the music until they reach the starting point of the parade on Elizabeth Street. Music selections are limited to holiday music ONLY.
- Parade judging occurs at the Rail Depot soon after the parade turns onto Plant Avenue. Look for a parade official to instruct you to pause for judging and pictures.
- No throwing candy, etc. from vehicles as THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD. People may walk alongside the float/vehicle to disperse candy, etc.
- No semis or other big/tall vehicles that have limited ground visibility or braking issues are allowed.
- All walking groups MUST have adult supervision.
- ALL PARADE ENTRIES (NOT JUST FLOATS) must be decorated and lighted to participate in the parade. Units not properly decorated will be turned away.
- Participants must portray the theme to be eligible for prize money.
- Participants riding in vehicles or trailers must provide their own vehicles and drivers. Insurance and liability are the sole responsibility of the participants.
Do not include a LIVE “Santa” on your entry. This honor is reserved for the parade Santa who is at the end of the parade.
All prize money has been graciously donated by our sponsors. Participants will have the opportunity to win in the following categories:
Floats: 1st - $300, 2nd - $200, 3rd - $100
Cars/trucks 1st - $200, 2nd - $100, 3rd - $50
**** The WCVB reserves the right to reject all applicants. Location of entry in the parade is the responsibility of the WCVB and is on a first come-first served basis.****
