Press and Media Application Information:

Game and Geek Expo welcomes applications from a variety of media professionals. We are seeking to partner with individuals and organizations who can effectively cover and promote our event to a broad audience.

We will consider applications from:

Traditional Media: Journalists and reporters representing established print, online, and broadcast media outlets.

Digital Media: Bloggers, vloggers, podcasters, and online content creators specializing in gaming, geek culture, technology, entertainment, and related topics.

Social Media Influencers: Individuals with a significant and engaged following on relevant social media platforms, who demonstrate a proven track record of creating compelling content.

Photographers and Videographers: Professionals who specialize in event coverage and can provide high-quality visual content.

We are particularly interested in applicants who can demonstrate:

A history of producing relevant and engaging content.
A substantial reach within their respective media platform.
A commitment to providing accurate and timely coverage of the event.
Those who can publish content before, during, and after the event. 

Please note that applications will be reviewed based on the quality and relevance of the applicant's work, as well as the reach and influence of their media platform.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

Applying for a press badge does NOT guarantee a press badge. To ensure entry to Game and Geek Expo, it is recommended that you purchase an attendee badge. Rejected applicants will not receive an extra opportunity to purchase badges after all public releases have been completed.

Press badges are limited and require verification and approval by Game and Geek Expo's Press Department.

Outlets & Creators that were approved in a prior year are NOT guaranteed approval for the current year.

You must complete the full application by the deadline. Applications submitted after the deadline may not be reviewed.

Due to the high volume of submissions, we appreciate your patience as we personally consider and review each application. After submitting your application, be on the lookout for an email from the team for a status update.

Due to sure volume you may not receive a response if you do not meet certain requirements. 

QUALIFIED PRESS APPLICANTS MUST:

Be age 18 years old or older
Provide relevant media or press-related work and/or examples (please provide links or screenshots of your reach, subscriber list)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR PRESS:

Media outlet/organization must have been established for at least two (2) years
Active on at least one (1) social media platform

1) Demonstrates a highly engaged following or subscriber list. We don't put a limit on the exact amount of followers or subscribers you have, but generally you should be creating consistent quality content and have engagement on that content. 

2) Content directly promoting Game and Geek Expo within 30 days before the convention and within 30 days after the convention has ended. 

3) If approved for a Game and Geek Expo press badge, you must submit coverage of Game and Geek Expo within 30 days post-event

* Photographers’ applications will be reviewed on a case-by-case selection with specific event(s) assignment coverage

Content Usage Clause:
By participating in Game and Geek Expo, you agree that Game and Geek Expo and its parent company, RRG LLC, may use, reproduce, share, and distribute any photos, videos, or other content you create or publish that features the event for promotional, marketing, and commercial purposes across digital, print, and social media platforms without additional compensation or approval.
