About the event

One of Roanoke’s favorite traditions is getting a fresh new take! Formerly known as Roanoke Roundup, this beloved community event returns as Taste & Tunes on Oak Street on Saturday, May 2, from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm in Downtown Roanoke. Best of all, admission is free! While the name may be new, the spirit of the event remains the same, bringing our community together for a day filled with incredible food, live music, and unforgettable experiences. Taste & Tunes on Oak Street continues the tradition of giving back through community partnerships, proudly supporting programs and initiatives led by the Guns & Hoses Foundation of North Texas and Speedway Children’s Charities that help strengthen the community we call home.

About the registration

As Taste and Tunes on Oak St. launches its rebrand, our 4th annual Voice Competition continues to grow. With the ongoing support of STAND Performing Arts, who have helped shape this competition from the very beginning, we’re proud to welcome KÉTŎS Entertainment as a new partner in 2026.

 

This year, North Texas vocalists will perform live with the KÉTŎS house band, compete before an experienced judging panel, and vie for professional studio recording packages.

 

Texas doesn’t just produce great singers — it produces great voices.
And on May 2, 2026, Oak Street is where they’ll be heard.

Application fee $15.00 All proceeds will benefit our event charity partners, Speedway Children's Charities and the Gun & Hoses Foundation of North Texas.

  • Please submit a link to your UNLISTED YouTube audition video. A Google Drive link is also acceptable (please check permissions).
  • I understand that advancement in the competition requires in-person participation in the Semifinals on April 19, 2026 and the Finals on May 2, 2026, and I confirm that I am available on both dates. Failure to attend either date may result in forfeiture of advancement or prizes.
  • By submitting this application, I affirm that I have read in full and agree to be bound by all Official Competition Rules and the Waiver and Release of Liability for the Taste and Tunes: Voice of Roanoke voice competition. I agree, for myself or on behalf of my minor child, to comply with all stated requirements and decisions of the organizers and judging panel. I understand that failure to comply may result in immediate disqualification, removal from the event, and forfeiture of any advancement or prizes, without refund.
