About the application

Krampusnacht Bremerton is one of the largest and most recognized Krampus celebrations in the United States, transforming downtown Bremerton into a winter spectacle of folklore, performance, and community. Thousands of attendees gather each year to experience costumed performers bringing Krampus tradition to life through movement, interaction, and atmosphere. Performers are the soul of the event, shaping the energy of the night and creating unforgettable moments that define the festival.

This fully permitted, outdoor public event welcomes experienced Krampus performers and costumed participants who are comfortable engaging a diverse audience that includes adults, families, and children. Performers are encouraged to roam, pose for photos, and interact in character while maintaining awareness, consent, and respect for boundaries. The goal is bold theatrical presence balanced with professionalism, ensuring interactions are thrilling, playful, and welcoming rather than aggressive or intimidating.

Krampusnacht Bremerton operates with professional security, trained volunteers, and coordination with the City of Bremerton. Performers are expected to follow all event rules and instructions, remain mindful of safety and costume limitations, and contribute to a cooperative, respectful environment. Participation is subject to approval, and performers should expect photography and filming throughout the event as part of the festival’s promotion and documentation. If you’re passionate about Krampus culture and public performance, we’re excited to welcome you into the chaos.

Performer Terms & Conditions, Code of Conduct, and Release

Agreement to Participate
By registering to participate in Krampusnacht Bremerton 2026 (the “Event”), organized by Strange Skipper, LLC DBA Krampus Bremerton (“Organizer”), you acknowledge that your registration constitutes a legally binding agreement. You agree to comply with all Event rules, policies, instructions, and safety requirements as communicated by the Organizer, event staff, security, or authorized volunteers. Participation is voluntary and subject to approval.

Physical Fitness, Costumes, and Personal Responsibility
You affirm that you are physically and mentally capable of participating in a costumed public performance and understand the inherent risks involved, including crowd density, limited visibility, environmental conditions, uneven surfaces, and physical exertion. You accept full responsibility for monitoring your own condition and agree to remove yourself from participation if you become fatigued, overheated, injured, or otherwise unable to continue safely. Costumes and props must allow for safe movement and emergency removal, and you assume all responsibility for their use and condition.

Audience Interaction and Consent
You agree to conduct yourself in a manner that prioritizes safety, consent, and respect at all times. Physical contact with attendees or other participants is prohibited without clear, enthusiastic consent. You acknowledge that while intimidation is part of Krampus performance tradition, harassment, chasing, cornering, threatening behavior, or unwanted physical contact is strictly prohibited. You agree to disengage immediately if any individual appears uncomfortable or unwilling to participate. Children must always be allowed to initiate interaction, and performers must adjust their behavior accordingly.

Conduct, Harassment, and Professional Standards
You agree to treat all attendees, volunteers, staff, security personnel, business owners, and fellow performers with respect and professionalism. Harassment, discrimination, sexualized behavior, excessive intoxication, or disruptive conduct of any kind will not be tolerated. You agree not to enter private property, residences, businesses, restricted areas, or public buildings unless explicitly permitted by the property owner or Event organizers, and you agree to respect all barricades, routes, and designated event boundaries.

Hostility, Protest, and De-escalation
You acknowledge that the Event takes place in a public environment and agree to prioritize safety if confronted with hostility or protest. You agree not to engage, argue, taunt, or escalate any situation and to disengage immediately and seek assistance from event staff or security if necessary.

Security Authority and Removal

You acknowledge that Event security, the Krampus Bremerton Krampus Krew, and authorized staff have full authority over participant conduct and safety decisions. You agree to comply immediately with any instruction to relocate, disengage, remove your mask, or leave the Event. Failure to comply may result in immediate removal from the Event and escalation to onsite City of Bremerton law enforcement. Removal for cause is final and forfeits any participation privileges without appeal.

Photography, Video, and Likeness Release
You grant the Organizer, its affiliates, sponsors, volunteers, and media partners the irrevocable right to photograph, record, and otherwise capture your image, voice, and likeness during the Event. You agree that such recordings may be used without compensation for marketing, promotion, documentation, news coverage, archival purposes, documentaries, or future festival materials.
