Taste of Asparagus Competition 2026

The Taste of Asparagus Competition is an opportunity for asparagus lovers to share their favorite asparagus dishes with the community! Open to the public - everyone is invited to enter their asparagus dish into the competition! There will be two divisions. For the main division there will be prizes for First, Second, and Third place winners. New this year we will have a college age division. Any student that is currenlty enrolled in college, will get the chance to win a $500 scholarship! (Check will be written to the college)

Participant’s responsibility:

• Provide favorite asparagus dish
• Prepare servings for 300 (sample sizes)
• Must be self-contained NO COOKING ON SITE
• Set-up may start at 10am
• Ready to serve by 11am
• Provide a copy of your recipe before event (can be emailed)
• Provide all serving utensils you may need. (spoon, spatula etc)
• Removal of all trash to proper containers at clean-up time and dismantling of display
• Any extension cords necessary

THERE IS NO REGISTRATION FEE

Taste of Asparagus Coordinator will provide:

• ASPARAGUS!! Let us know in advance how many pounds of asparagus you will need to prepare your dish and we will provide that to you.
• Table space & chairs
• Sign with the chef’s name, name of the dish & sponsor (if applicable)
• Paper serving products (plates, bowls, napkins, and utensils for guests)
• Placement by an electrical outlet, if requested
• Provide voting tickets to public
• Clean-up of tables and room
