About the application

If you think you have what it takes as a solo or duo dancer(s) to take home the top prize of $200, then this Kpop/Fusion competition is for you. (Please note that all applicants must purchase convention ticket to attend.)

Terms & Conditions

1. Agreement

 


By registering for and participating in the Solo & Duo Dance Competition (“Competition”), all participants agree to follow these Terms & Conditions, all event rules, and any instructions provided by event staff, judges, or organizers.

 


The organizer reserves the right to update rules, schedules, and procedures when necessary for safety, fairness, or event operations.

 


 


2. Eligibility

 


Participants must complete registration before the deadline.
Solo division consists of one performer.
Duo division consists of two performers.
Participants under 18 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
All performers must check in before the competition begins.

 

 


3. Performance Requirements

 


Performances must stay within the assigned time limit provided by the organizer.
Music must be submitted in the required format before the submission deadline.
Performances must remain appropriate for a public convention/event environment.
Excessive nudity, dangerous behavior, hate speech, or illegal content is prohibited.
Props are allowed only if approved by organizers beforehand and must not create safety hazards.

 

 


4. Judging

 


Performances may be judged on:

 


Choreography
Stage Presence
Creativity
Synchronization (for duos)
Musicality
Crowd Engagement
Technical Skill
Overall Performance Quality

 

All judging decisions are final.

 


 


5. Tournament & Elimination Format

 


Competition structure may include bracket, elimination, point-based, or showcase rounds depending on attendance.
Participants advancing to the next round are determined by judges’ scores.
In the event of a tie, judges may:
Hold a tiebreaker round
Use crowd engagement
Use overall performance scoring

 

The organizer reserves the right to adjust the bracket or schedule if needed.

 


 


6. Sportsmanship & Conduct

 


Participants are expected to:

 


Treat competitors, judges, staff, and attendees respectfully
Avoid harassment, discrimination, or disruptive conduct
Follow venue rules and safety instructions

 

Unsportsmanlike conduct may result in:

 


Point deductions
Disqualification
Removal from the event without refund

 

 


7. Music & Copyright

 


Participants confirm they have permission to use submitted music for performance purposes.

 


The organizer is not responsible for muted livestreams, copyright claims, or platform restrictions related to music used by participants.

 


 


8. Photography & Media Release

 


By participating, competitors grant permission for:

 


Photography
Video recording
Livestream footage
Social media clips
Promotional use related to the event

 

Participants understand their likeness may appear in future promotional content without compensation.

 


 


9. Liability Waiver

 


Participants understand dancing and live performance involve physical activity and accept all associated risks.

 


The organizer, venue, sponsors, volunteers, and staff are not responsible for:

 


Injuries
Lost or stolen items
Technical issues
Schedule changes
Force majeure events

 

Participants perform at their own risk.

 


 


10. Refund Policy

 


All fees are final and non-refundable unless the event itself is canceled by the organizer.

 


 


11. Disqualification Rights

 


The organizer reserves the right to disqualify any participant for:

 


Rule violations
Fraudulent registration
Inappropriate conduct
Unsafe behavior
Failure to comply with staff instructions

 

 


12. Schedule Changes

 


Competition times, brackets, judges, prizes, and event structure may change based on attendance, technical issues, or operational needs.

 


 


13. Prize Policy

 


Prize distribution is determined by official final results.
Winners may be required to provide identification before receiving prizes.
The organizer reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal value if necessary.

 

 


14. Acceptance of Terms

 


By registering for the Solo & Duo Dance Competition, participants confirm they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
