Volunteer Terms & Conditions – GOM CON 2025
By submitting this application, you agree to the following terms and conditions for volunteering at GOM CON: Galactic Getaway, hosted at ICONS at The Pointe, Margaritaville.

1. Volunteer Commitment
Volunteers agree to work both event days, from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, unless otherwise arranged by the Volunteer Manager.
Volunteers are expected to remain on-site, perform assigned tasks, and support staff, guests, and attendees professionally.
2. Compensation
Volunteers will receive $40 compensation upon completion of both full volunteer days.
Volunteers will also be reimbursed for the parking fee associated with attending the event.
Compensation is only issued after full completion of duties on both days.
3. Sign-In & Sign-Out Requirement
Volunteers must sign in and sign out each day with Jasmine Johnson, the designated Volunteer Manager.
Failure to sign in and/or sign out will result in automatic forfeiture of payment and reimbursement, with no exceptions.
4. Duties & Expectations
Volunteers must complete all duties assigned by the Volunteer Manager Jasmine Johnson. Duties may include:
-Setup and breakdown
-Guest and attendee assistance
-Line management
-Gaming, cosplay, or exhibitor area support
-AV needs in theatre
-General event operations
Volunteers are expected to maintain professionalism, follow manager instructions, and uphold GOM CON policies at all times.
5. Conduct
Respectful behavior toward attendees, exhibitors, guests, and staff is mandatory.
Any form of misconduct, negligence, or refusal to perform assigned duties may result in dismissal from the volunteer team and forfeiture of compensation.
6. Attendance
Volunteers must be punctual and remain for the full required shifts.
Excessive lateness, absence, or early departure may result in dismissal and forfeiture of compensation.
