About the event

The Downtown Albany BID, in partnership with Capitalize Albany Corporation, presents the Haunted Spelling Bee(r) on Friday, October 24 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at the Clinton Market Collective. Hosted by comedian El Kennedy and Downtown Albany BID Special Events Manager Jevan Dollard, this frightfully fun competition dares you to put your spelling skills to the test. Top spellers will have the chance to take home a $50 cash prize plus a gift from Common Roots, with prizes also awarded to runners-up. Food and beverages will be available for purchase from Wizard Burger and Common Roots Brewing Company. Entry is just $5 for those brave enough to compete, while it’s free to haunt (or watch) for everyone else. So sharpen your claws and your spelling skills—this is your chance to slay the competition.

About the application

Enter to be selected as a participant in The Haunted Spelling Bee(r) using this application! 13 competitors will be selected at random from all submissions to compete in bee. The registration fee for the bee is $5, you will only be charged if you are selected, at the time you are selected. Entrants will be contacted via email or phone if provided.

Prices

Bee Fee (Entry to the bee) $5.00 Fee will be charged only if approved, at the time of approval. If your card is rejected, we may need to select a different entrant. Fees are collected to cover the cash prize.
