About the event

For 42 years, the Troy Victorian Stroll has been a community holiday tradition that transforms the streets of historic downtown Troy into a bygone Victorian era, complete with visitors in Victorian dress strolling the City. The Victorian Stroll has brought residents and tourists alike together to enjoy our beautiful City of Troy - its past, present and future. The Stroll’s activities and entertainment are strategically spread throughout the streets, amidst unique shops, storefronts, restaurants, bars and parks. The events’ footprint is South to Congress Street, East to 6th Ave, West to River Street, and North to Hutton Street. There is something of interest for people of all ages at this one-day. Held each year 10 days after Thanksgiving, we hope you will join us to shop, dine and Stroll Troy! ​

About the application

The Rensselaer County Regional Chamber of Commerce invites you to participate in the 43rd Annual Troy Victorian Stroll window decorating contest. It’s fun, easy, and by committing to decorating your windows, you’ll help create a festive ambiance in downtown Troy. This is a beautiful addition as nearly 30,000 people will be visiting our community on Sunday, December 7, during the Victorian Stroll and throughout the holiday season. Take part in a holiday tradition – sign up today!

Terms & Conditions

  Monday, November 3: Complete and return this form to Lucas Terwilliger at lterwilliger@renscochamber.com or drop it off/mail to the Chamber’s office at 90 Fourth St., Suite 200, Troy NY 12180.

 

 Thursday, November 20-Wednesday November 26: Decorate your windows in time to display them during the Turkey Trot and Small Business Saturday. Participating businesses may be eligible for reimbursement for supplies up to $100. Our THEME this year is ‘Favorite Holiday Song' There are three categories to win in: Best in Show, Best Use of Theme and People’s Choice. Prizes will be awarded to each winner. **Winners will be awarded up to $250 prizes**

 

  Monday, December 1: YOU MUST submit a photo of your window no later than Monday, December 1st and brief description to lterwilliger@renscochamber.com or my cell 518-952-5430 to be eligible for cash prizes.

 

  Wednesday, December 3: Voting for People’s Choice begins. Voting will take place by casting a vote through our Proxi Event Map linked on our Victorian stroll website www.victorianstroll.com. 

Online voting will end on Friday, December 5th at 4:30 p.m. so that event attendees can participate by visiting the windows and voting while at the Stroll.

 

 Sunday, December 7: Judging for Best in Show and Best Use of Theme will take place during the Stroll. Participants can use their Instagram accounts to vote for their favorite windows on our story poll find us @troyvictorianstroll.

 

  Wednesday, December 10 at 4:30 p.m.: All winners will be announced on www.victorianstroll.com, the Chamber’s social media pages and Stroll’s social media pages.
