Colony Christmas Tree Decorating Contest
The Palmer Chamber is excited to host its first-ever Colony Christmas Tree Decorating Contest! Local businesses are invited to join in this new holiday tradition by decorating a tree to showcase their creativity and community spirit.

All decorated trees will be on display for public viewing, and the community will vote for their favorites beginning on Small Business Saturday and continuing through Colony Christmas, December 14.

Prizes will be awarded as follows:

• 1st Place: $300
• 2nd Place: $150
• Most Outlandish: $100

Winners will be announced on December 15. We look forward to celebrating the season and kicking off this new tradition with your participation!

Colony Christmas Tree Decorating Contest Rules

1.Eligibility

• Open to all Palmer-area businesses.
• Businesses must register in advance through the official registration link.

2.Tree Requirements

• Businesses are responsible for providing and decorating their own tree.
• Trees must be safe, stable, and suitable for public display.
• Decorations should be family-friendly and appropriate for all audiences.

3.Display & Voting

• All trees must be set up and ready for public viewing by Small Business Saturday.
• Trees will remain on display through Colony Christmas, December 14.
• Community members will vote for their favorite trees by scanning a QR code posted near the display.

4. Judging Categories & Prizes

• 1st Place: $300
• 2nd Place: $150
• Most Outlandish: $100
• Winners will be announced on December 15.

5. Decorating Guidelines

• No open flames, hazardous materials, or unsafe electrical wiring permitted.
• Businesses are encouraged to incorporate creativity, holiday spirit, and originality.
• Lights are allowed but must remain in working order throughout the display period.

6.Responsibility & Care

• Businesses are responsible for maintaining their trees throughout the contest.
• The Palmer Chamber is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged decorations.

7.Agreement

• By registering, participants agree to abide by these rules and allow photos of their trees to be shared for promotional purposes.
