Eligibility
- Press Passes are available to journalists, bloggers, podcasters, videographers, photographers, and other recognized media representatives.
- Applicants must provide proof of active press status (such as recent articles, channel links, or published work).
- Press Passes are limited and not guaranteed, regardless of past attendance.
Application & Approval
- Submitting an application does not guarantee approval.
- The Convention reserves the right to approve, deny, or revoke press applications at its sole discretion.
- Approved press must check in at the designated registration area with a valid photo ID.
- Press Applicant will be granted 1 3-DAY PASS any additional passes must be purchased.
Pass Usage
- Press Passes are non-transferable and may not be sold, loaned, or shared.
- Misuse of a Press Pass may result in immediate revocation and removal from the event.
- Press Passes grant access to general convention areas but do not guarantee priority seating, backstage access, or special interviews unless otherwise arranged.
Coverage Requirements
- Press attendees are expected to produce coverage (articles, photos, video, podcasts, etc.) related to WeebCon.
- Coverage must respect WeebCon rules, guests, and attendees.
- Coverage content must be submitted within 15 days of event - exact asset collection type will be dependent on selected Press Type in application.
FAILURE TO UPHOLD ASSET DELIVERY:
- Failure to uphold asset delivery in allotted time will forfeit applicant's opportunities with WeebCon Press in the future.
- Delinquent Applicant may also be charged a 3-day Badge fee. (We will evaluate on a case by case basis.)
Content Restrictions
- No live streaming, recording, or photography is allowed in restricted areas or during events marked as “no recording."
- Press must follow staff instructions regarding photography, videography, and interview rules.
- All content must comply with copyright law and may not misrepresent the Convention.
Code of Conduct
- Press must behave professionally and respectfully toward attendees, staff, vendors, and guests.
- Harassment, stalking, or aggressive reporting will not be tolerated.
- Violations may result in Press Pass revocation and removal from the event.
Use of Convention Branding
- Approved press may use the Convention name and official logos for coverage purposes only.
- Branding may not be used to imply endorsement, sponsorship, or partnership without prior written permission.
Liability & Disclaimer
- The Convention is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged equipment.
- Press attendees assume all risks associated with covering the event.
- The Convention reserves the right to change schedules, policies, or access at any time.
Press Legal Agreement
By submitting this application you certify that all information submitted is true.
By submitting this application you have read the pre-requisites that are required to be approved.
Please look for an email with notification of acceptance, denial, or looking for additional information.
By applying to receive press passes you agree to grant Weebcon and affiliated organizations universal unlimited distribution rights of content captured, created, or produced during the convention.
This content will only be used in promotional activities. The content creators retain original copyrights and all other distribution rights. The original creator will be credited for all content used.
