The City of Loganville invites local businesses, civic groups, schools, and organizations to participate in our beloved annual Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting! Held on Saturday, November 29th, 2025, at 6:00 PM, this festive evening brings the community together to welcome the holiday season. Terms & Conditions
General Rules & Regulations:
We ask that you read the following Rules & Regulations and review the acknowledgement information in this application packet. The City of Loganville reserves the right to remove any entry from the parade that does not comply with instructions outlined below.
- Entries must have entertainment value and demonstrate creativity related to the theme.
- Floats must be fire retardant, carry a regulation fire extinguisher and have restraints for all float personnel. The driver must have a 180-degree field of vision and carry a valid driver’s license.
- No smoking on or near a float at any time.
- Units are limited to a maximum height of 14 feet and maintain the ability to turn tight corners.
- Entries should be properly identified with signs or banners with the organization’s name on the entry so spectators can acknowledge you.
- Once the parade starts moving, please maintain a 30-foot space between entries and be aware of the parade flow while performing your talent.
- Marching units, floats and vehicles must maintain a forward movement. Performance acts may showcase their talent while maintaining a steady pace with the parade.
- All equestrian or animal entries must have their own clean-up crew.
- Any unit that is considered unsafe by the parade staff will be removed from the parade.
Safety:
- No fueling of generators during the parade route or any type of fuel cans allowed on board parade floats.
- No live fires on any floats, including wood stoves.
- Maintain a clear line of vision; do not obstruct view on all sides of your vehicle including tow vehicles. An observer is welcome to walk with the entry, guiding the driver.
- All children must have adult supervision.
- Follow all guidelines on electrical equipment; do not exceed the limitations of your equipment.
- Do not throw candy or favors at the spectators. Walkers are welcome to walk along the parade route to hand out materials. All materials must be maintained by the walker. Due to safety concerns, walkers are not permitted to return to the float for materials.
- Only emergency stops are permitted during the procession.
- Keep our City of Loganville clean, do not generate debris during the parade route. Animal waste must be cleaned up immediately.
Please note that this event will not be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Cancellation of the event will be determined based on the severity of weather conditions and, if necessary, any cancellation will be communicated to participants in a timely manner.
Prices
| Entry Fee | $0.00 | All participants are asked to bring canned goods to benefit Shepard’s Staff. If you have 10 individuals on your float, you should donate 10 to 20 cans or toys (or more if you desire). You can drop them off at Loganville City Hall prior to the parade or bring them the day of — a city truck will be at the gathering site. |
