About the application

The Swamp Cabbage Festival Committee is currently accepting nominations for the 2022 Pioneer Family, (56th annual). This honor is awarded to person(s) who are able to provide documentary proof satisfactory to the committee, establishing a solid chain of evidence that he/she/they had an ancestor who settled in Hendry County, Florida (present boundaries) before the county was formed.

Terms & Conditions

This award can be given to any person, regardless of his or her place of residence, who shall provide documentary proof satisfactory to the committee. The application and all supporting documentation (copies of originals) shall become the property of the SCF Committee and will be submitted to the LaBelle Heritage Museum for historical purposes.
