NC 4th of July Festival Music Application

Thank you for your interest in performing at the NC 4th of July Festival in Southport, NC! This historic celebration draws approximately 60,000 attendees each year, offering musicians an incredible opportunity to showcase their talents in front of a large and diverse audience.

We welcome a variety of musical acts that align with the festival’s family-friendly atmosphere, creating an engaging and entertaining experience for all ages. Performances take place on festival stages, providing professional sound and production support.

Application Details:

• All applications must be fully completed to be considered.
• Applicants can expect to be offered payment in the amount of $1,200,
• Supporting materials (such as music samples and press kits) must accurately represent the act.
• The festival committee will review all submissions, and acceptance is at their sole discretion.

Eligibility

• Applicants must be 18 years or older or have parental/guardian consent if under 18.
• All music acts must adhere to the family-friendly nature of the NC 4th of July Festival unless otherwise specified.

Submission Requirements

• Applications must be completed in full to be considered.
• All supporting materials (e.g., music samples, press kits) must be accurate and reflective of the act's work.

Selection Process

• The selection of acts is at the sole discretion of the NC 4th of July Festival committee. Submission does not guarantee a performance slot.
• Selected acts will be notified via email and must respond within the specified timeframe to secure their spot.

Performance Agreement

• Applicants can expect to be offered payment in the amount of $1,200.
• Approved applicants must sign a performance contract detailing payment, schedule, and technical requirements.
• Failure to return the signed contract by the deadline may result in forfeiture of the performance slot.

Code of Conduct

• Performers must act professionally and respectfully towards event staff, other artists, and the audience.
• Content deemed inappropriate, offensive, or harmful may result in immediate disqualification or removal from the event.

Cancellation Policy

• Performers must notify the NC 4th of July Festival team promptly if they are unable to perform.
• Late cancellations may affect future participation opportunities.

Liability

• The NC 4th of July Festival is not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to personal property.
• Performers participate at their own risk and agree to hold the event organizers harmless for any injuries or accidents.

Use of Media

• By applying, you grant the City of Southport and NC 4th of July Festival the right to use submitted materials (e.g., photos, music, videos) for promotional purposes.
• Live performances may be recorded or photographed for marketing or archival purposes.
