Adult Handicraft Cosplay Competition

This registration must be completed to compete in the Adult Handicraft Cosplay Competition at Range Fan Con 2025. 

Handcrafted Subdivisions (Judged on Costume Quality & Construction)

• Novice: have previously won 0–1 major awards in cosplay competitions.
• Advanced: have previously won 2+ major awards, do commissions for income, or works professionally in costuming.

⚒️ Handcrafted Entry Requirements

• At least 75% must be made by the contestant.
• If modeling a commissioned costume, the creator must be present OR be declared during pre-judging.
• Costumes that previously won a major award require documentation of significant changes.

Reference materials are required:

• Include images and progress documentation.
• Must be in a folder or on a personal device.
• Must be ready at pre-judging time.

Eligibility

• Must purchase a valid Day Pass badge. Complete a Cosplay Contest Form (available online or at the ticket counter).
• Include printed character reference images and physical work-in-progress photos (if handcrafted).
• If using music or performing a short skit, music or skit outline must be submitted in advance with registration.
• Ages 16 and Above.

By entering, all participants agree to liability release of photo/video images of you and your cosplay. Range Fan Con may use any images or video captured of cosplay competition participants in their advertising, social media posts, and so on.

✅ Check-In Required

All participants must check in at the designated cosplay table during the event.

Adult Cosplay Competition Registration Deadline: 11:30 AM Sunday.

Pre-judging (Mezzanine. Sunday 12-2 PM)

• Happens prior to Exhibition stage presentation. Judges can get up close and personal to see the details and learn about your crafting process
• All handcrafted participants MUST attend pre-judging to be eligible to win awards
• Requires full costume and makeup

Stage Behavior Guidelines (Sunday 3:30-4 PM - prep in Mezzanine, Sunday 4-5:30 PM - Stage Walk in Vendor Hall )

• You have 1-2 minutes to walk on stage, perform moves to demonstrate your character, and leave the stage
• Group/Team cosplay have 2-4 minutes to perform
• Leave with all items you bring on stage.
• Props must follow Con policies.
• Stage combat must be pre-approved, safe, and stay on stage.
• Not Allowed On Stage: Glitter, confetti, petals, liquids, projectiles, open flame, laser pointers.

Custom Audio Guidelines: 

• All entries which use a custom audio must sign up in advance as we will not have live audio mixing. Custom Audio deadline is July 11th @ 11pm. 
• Audio must follow Range Fan Con's Rules and T&C.
• For solo entry, your audio must be 1-2 minutes long, if you are performing as a group your audio may be 2-4 minutes long.
• Please submit an MP4 file or an Unlisted/adless YouTube video that is edited to exactly how you want it.
