Heroes of the Forge Cosplay Contest

The Forgemasters welcome you to the cosplay contest application, please include as much information and be honest about your entries. We look forward to seeing you in all of your glory.

Cosplay Contest Terms and Conditions

No fees to apply but a VIP, weekend or saturday pass to Infinity Con Tallahassee 2025 is required. 

By entering the cosplay contest, all participants agree to the following terms and conditions:

1.  EligibilityParticipants of all ages are welcome. Those under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian’s permission to participate.
   Group entries are allowed. A group must designate one member as the main contact person.
2. RegistrationAll entries must be submitted through the official entry form prior to the deadline.
   Limited spots may be available; entries are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis unless otherwise stated.
   Walk-on registrations (if allowed) are subject to time and space availability.
3. Costume GuidelinesCostumes can be handmade, partially handmade, or purchased. Judges may weigh craftsmanship and effort accordingly.
   Contestants must credit original creators (e.g., character source, fan artist, commissioned makers) where appropriate.
   Original characters (OCs) are welcome, but must include a clear design and background description.
   Contestants who have made less than 80 percent of their costume are relegated to the exhibition category in which they will be able to showcase their costume but not compete in the craftsman category (exceptions made on a case by case basis)
4. Performance Guidelines (if applicable)No performances or skits are authorized, furthermore no acrobatics or extreme movements that could pose a danger to self or others are allowed while showcasing. Any contestant who violates this policy will be immediately disqualified.
5. Props & Weapons PolicyAll props and costume pieces must adhere to the event’s overall weapons and safety policy.
   Prop weapons must be inspected and peace-bonded (if required) at the designated check-in area.
   No functioning projectiles, sharp edges, or real weapons are permitted.
6. Judging Criteria- Contestants will be judged on the following:
   • Craftsmanship and build quality
   • Accuracy and attention to detail
   • Originality and creativity
   • Effort and overall impression
7. Conduct: All participants must behave respectfully and professionally to fellow cosplayers, staff, judges, and attendees.
   Harassment or misconduct will result in disqualification and possible removal from the event.
   The organizers reserve the right to refuse or remove any entry that violates these guidelines.
8. Media ReleaseBy entering the contest, you grant permission for photos and videos of you and your costume to be taken and used for promotional purposes by the event.
   If you do not wish to be photographed, please inform staff at registration.
9. DisclaimersThe contest organizers are not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen items.
   Contest rules are subject to change. Updates will be communicated via official event channels.
   All judge decisions are final.
10.  Injury Waiver & DisclaimerBy entering and participating in this contest, you acknowledge that participation involves physical activity and the potential for accidental injury.
    You voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risk of personal injury, property damage, or loss, whether foreseeable or not, that may occur before, during, or after the contest.
    You agree to hold harmless the event organizers, staff, venue, sponsors, and affiliates from any and all liability for any claims, demands, or damages resulting from your participation.
    If under 18, a parent or legal guardian must acknowledge and accept this waiver on your behalf.
