Interview Details
Individual interviews will be held Sunday, June 8th at the Community Mens Club Building, individual times to be scheduled.
Contest Details
Contest will be held Wednesday, June 11th at the Shelterhouse (Pavillion) Stage.
Please check in by 6:30 PM, contestants should be seated by 6:45 PM, and the contest will begin promptly at 7:00 PM.
Terms & Conditions
Eligibility Requirements
1. Full cooperation is expected at all times from the royalty member, her parents or guardians, all family members, and anyone acting on her behalf.
2. Parents/Family Members must adhere to and abide by the guidelines in this contract.
3. Past winners and individuals that hold titles at other festivals are not permitted to participate.
4. This contest is open to all those who live within Pickaway County Limits.
5. Contestants must be at least 14 years old and have not yet reached the age of 19 by June 1, 2024.
6. Parents of royalty members give their consent for their daughter’s photo to be used in publicity of the Commercial Point Homecoming.
7. Parents must refrain from the use of illegal drugs or alcohol while escorting festival royalty or while at a sponsored event.
8. The Judge’s decisions are final.
During Your Reign
1. All new royalty members are required to ride in the Commercial Point Homecoming Parade.
a. The Parade is Saturday, June 14th at 11am. Lineup is at 9am in the Parking Lot of Teays Valley West Middle School.
2. Royalty members are required to attend the farewell luncheon of the outgoing Queen and Court on Saturday the 14th at 1pm, as well as introduce themselves to the crowd on stage following the parade.
3. Royalty members must be available during the entire Homecoming festival and must be appropriately dressed when in crown and sash (no jeans, leggings, exposed midriffs, etc.).
4. Floor length formal gowns are required at all parades and events unless approved prior by the royalty director.
5. All Royalty members are required to participate in the following parades. If you are unable to attend a parade or event due to an excused event or commitment, you must inform the royalty director of the conflict prior to the event, and “make up” the absence with another approved event.
a. Commercial Point Christmas Parade
b. London Strawberry Festival
c. Ashville Fourth of July
d. West Jefferson Ox Roast/Obetz Zucchini Festival
e. Circleville Pumpkin Show, all parades and float judging (Counts as 1 of 15)
f. Chillicothe Feast of the Flowering Moon
g. Deer Creek Dam Days
6. Royalty members are required to attend a minimum of 15 parades, including those listed above.
7. Royalty members are required to represent the community at the Community Easter Egg Hunt, Halloween Festival, the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, Community Oktoberfest, Pancakes with Santa, and Cookies with Santa. Other opportunities include Spring and Winter Craft Shows and Farmer’s Markets.
8. The Commercial Point Homecoming is not responsible for transportation to any other festivals, parades, or events.
9. All group communication must involve the royalty directors.
Failure to follow these guidelines may result in the royalty member losing her title.
This contract is not all inclusive. Decisions made by the royalty committee are final.
