Demos/Workshop/Activity Application - Round 2
About the event
About the application
A demo is a show of a process, skillset, or concept through a visual display. The presenter inspires participants to try the new idea or skill on their own afterwards. Examples could include: medieval-era combat techniques, Special Effects makeup tutorial, voice acting demo, drafting 101- beginning Magic the Gathering, storytelling through worldbuilding (as a writer, TTRPG DM, game designer), basic programming for game mods, etc.
A workshop is showing or teaching knowledge or a skill for participants to learn and practice. There is an interactive, hands-on element to learn a specific concept with guidance from the presenter. Some examples might include building and painting miniature models, medieval leatherworking, DIY cosplay armor, drawing manga, DIY pins or keychains, etc.
An activity's focus is on fun rather than education. This broad category might include trivia, anime video room, karaoke, quiz shows, book club meet and discussion, card games, etc.
Terms & Conditions
Rating
Please stay within your chosen maturity rating. Ratings help the community determine which age group your event is intended for. We are a family-friendly convention and there are people of all ages attending our day-time activities. Try to limit mature content and language to the 18+ “after-dark” activities Saturday evening.
On Time
Please arrive to your event location no later than 15 minutes before the start of your event. If you are not attending the rest of the Con and are only coming to your presentation, you still must have your 2-day badge with you in order to gain access to the Con.
Presentations are scheduled to allow for setup and teardown time, so keep an eye on your time and wrap up when scheduled to do so.
Food
Water and some snacks can be provided to presenters. Please ask for what you need in your application.
