KC Pride Royalty Pageant Contestant Registration

The following contestant package will provide you with all the information pertaining to the Mr. / Ms. / Mx. Kansas City Pride Pageant to be held Saturday, May 17, 2025 at the Westport Bowery.

All Contestants competing must be a resident of a Kansas City Metropolitan Area County: (Jackson, Clay, Platte, Buchanan, MO and Johnson, Wyandotte, Douglas, KS).

The Mr. / Ms. / Mx. Kansas City Pride Community Alliance Pageant is a gender-inclusive pageant for contestants who believe in the power and importance of LGBTQ+ Community Service, Entertainment and Pageantry.

Titles:

• Mr. Kansas City Pride (Male Presenting)
• Ms. Kansas City Pride (Female Presenting)
• Mx. Kansas City Pride (Non-Binary/Gender Non-Conforming)

The Registration Fee is $50.00. This fee will only be accepted until Friday, May 16th, 2025. Fees not paid prior to this will be subject to the day of registration fee of $100.00, regardless of registration application completion date. Contestants may register the day of the event with a registration fee of $100.00. The registration fee for the Mr. / Ms. / Mx. Kansas City Pride Pageant must be paid at time or registration.

Winners EXPECTATIONS

Each pageantry system has expectations of their representatives, and listed below are the minimum expectations of the winners of The Mr. / Ms. / Mx. Kansas City Pride:

● Maintain high always morals & carry oneself in a professional manner. Remember all eyes are on you even when you least expect it. Titleholders are NOT to participate in gossip, slander, or disparaging conversations of any kind during their reign. No Exceptions! This also includes ALL social media platforms. 

● Titleholders are NOT allowed to hold nor compete for another “Pride” title while reigning for Kansas City Pride Community Alliance Pageantry without written consent and approval from the KCPCA Board of Directors 

● Complete Royal Court Photoshoot to be scheduled by KCPCA

● Attend the Royal Court Orientation meeting to be scheduled following the pageant

● Promote Kansas City Pride Community Alliance Pageantry on social media including our Kansas City Pride Community Alliance Facebook page, subject to KCPCA guidelines.

● Represent and promote Kansas City Pride Community Alliance at KCPCA events, KC PrideFest and KC Pride Parade, and other LGBTQ+ community events. Titleholders must attend these events in their title’s persona and may be asked to complete additional tasks such as promotional material distribution. 

● Organize and participate in a fundraising event to benefit the KCPCA Pageant Scholarship fund.

● Complete community service hours and/or fundraise for a local nonprofit organization.

Breach Of Agreement

Titleholder will be considered in breach of agreement if any and/or all REQUIREMENTS AND EXPECTATIONS are not met as determined by the KCPCA Board of Directors. Breach of agreement will result in the following: 

• Revocation of Title
• Cancellation of future bookings, appearances, and fees stated in this contract.
• Return of all prizes awarded including cash awards. (If any prize is damaged, replacement will be required) 

Kansas City Pride Community Alliance reserves the right to act if it is determined that a Titleholder is in BREACH of AGREEMENT
