Thank you for your interest in competing for the title of Miss Utah State Fair & Rodeo in its twelfth annual competition. We hope this experience brings you lasting memories and an enjoyable journey. This packet provides essential information regarding the requirements and schedule to help guide you through the process.
Please note: Locations and activities are subject to change; all contestants will be notified of any changes as quickly as possible.
Applications must be completed online or delivered to the Utah State Fairpark Administration Building, 155 N 1000 W, Salt Lake City, UT 84116 by the deadline.
The Utah State Fair reserves the right to cancel the contest or extend any deadline.
The following documents must be submitted via application portal to be eligible to compete:

Contest Details:
Location: Utah State Fairpark (enter through Gate 17 at 1200 W 300 N).
9:45 AM SHARP: Check-in (Hospitality Building - northwest of the Days of '47 Arena).
10:00 AM Horsemanship – Days of 47 Arena
11:00 AM Timed written test
11:45 AM Lunch for contestants and judges
12:15 PM Interviews
12:45 PM Doors to the Zion building open to parents and family.
1:00 PM Speeches, modeling, and impromptu questions
2:00 PM Coronation

General Rules and Expectations
Winning the title of Miss Utah State Fair & Rodeo is both an honor and a responsibility. The titleholder serves as an official representative of the Utah State Fair and Utah’s Own PRCA Rodeo, embodying the values of the Fair while promoting the sport of rodeo. She is expected to conduct herself with dignity, professionalism, and enthusiasm at all times, ensuring her actions, speech, and attire reflect the prestige of her title. Additionally, she must demonstrate exceptional sportsmanship, high moral and ethical character, and a commitment to the humane treatment of animals.
Eligibility Requirements
- Contestants must be between 18* and 26 years of age as of the competition date.(*or graduated
high school by spring 2025) - Applications must be submitted via email or delivery by 12:00 p.m. on April 28, 2025, to be considered.
- Contestants must read, understand, and agree to abide by all competition rules and regulations.
- Contestants must be single, never married, and have no children. Titleholders may not marry or assume marital obligations during their reign.
- Contestants must be enrolled in school or have successfully completed high school (or an equivalent certification).
Code of Conduct
To uphold the integrity of the title, contestants must adhere to the highest standards of conduct:
- Contestants must maintain a positive public image and refrain from any behavior deemed inappropriate by the State Fair Park Authority or the Queen Contest Committee.
- Unacceptable actions include (but are not limited to) the consumption of alcohol, use of illegal drugs, or participation in any illegal activity. Any violation of these standards is grounds for immediate disqualification.
- Titleholders must follow all contest rules throughout their reign.
Competition & Titleholder Responsibilities
- Contestants must be available for scheduled activities leading up to the Utah State Fair (a full list of required appearances is attached to this application).
- Contestants must provide and maintain a well-mannered, properly groomed horse for both the competition and official events.
- If crowned Miss Utah State Fair & Rodeo, the winner may not hold additional rodeo royalty titles without prior written approval from the Miss Utah State Fair Committee.
- Contestants must provide their own wardrobe in accordance with the competition’s guidelines.
- Any potential sponsorships must receive written approval from the Queen Contest Committee before being accepted.
Titleholder Obligations & Disqualification
- The Miss Utah State Fair & Rodeo winner is required to attend and participate in the Utah’s Own PRCA Rodeo, held on September 5th, 6th, and 8th, 2025, as well as other promotional events for the Fair.
- The Miss Utah State Fair & Rodeo winner is not free to schedule their own appearances. All appearances as the Miss Utah State Fair & Rodeo must be approved by the Pageant Coordinator or Fair Management.
- If the reigning titleholder is unable to fulfill her duties at any point during her term, the first runner-up will assume the title. In such a case, all scholarships, awards, and gifts received in connection with the title must be returned to the Utah State Fair.
- All decisions made by the judges are final.
- The Utah State Fair and the Queen Committee reserve the right to amend competition rules at their discretion and hold authority over any rule discrepancies.
