About the event

Welcome to the Official Loggerodeo™ at the Chainsaw Carving Capitol of Washington State and the Pacific Northwest in Sedro-Woolley, WA!! We are celebrating the longest running 4th of July celebration in Washington State. Sedro-Woolley will Host numerous events and activities during the 4th of July celebration: Loggerodeo™, as well as the longest running International, Invitation only, Chainsaw carving competition. There are two main events for the “Loggerodeo™” are the Logging Exhibition and the Chainsaw Carving Competition. For the Logging Exhibition is where the Loggers show off their skills in Pole Climbing, Axe Throwing, Choker Setting, and Single Buck and Double Buck Crosscut Saw. For the Chainsaw Carving Competition there are two competitions going on here, one is there main or Masterpiece carve where the carvers whittle down an 8ft by 3ft log of Cedar or Redwood into some of the most amazing art forms found anywhere. This goes on every day that the Loggerodeo™ is going and is Judged on the last day. The second part of the Chainsaw Carving Competition is the Quick Carve that happens once a day that the show is going on during the competition and at the end of every day there is an auction for the Quick Carvings for that day. At the same time as the Loggerodeo on the 3rd and 4th of July the PCRA has there own Events going on at the PCRA Rodeo Grounds at Highway 20 and Polte Road. The Loggerodeo and the PCRA Rodeo are a separate Events and have there own board of Directors but work together to bring the Best 4th of July celebration to Sedro-Woolley and Skagit Valley. To be judged in the parade, the application must be received by June 28th

PARADE ENTRY FEE = $40.00 COMMERCIAL ENTRY $45.00 POLITICAL ENTRY $500.00

Applications will not be approved without a signed Indemnity and Safety Agreement

Terms & Conditions

For the safety of you and everyone at the parade, please read the following:

Parade entries must follow the direction of all parade officials.

Entries must be appropriate for a FAMILY AUDIENCE. No offensive materials.

Improper use of the American Flag is not permitted. Proper use of the American Flag is based on the U.S. Flag policy set forth in the U.S. Code.

All wheels of motorized Vehicles must stay in contact with the ground at all times. NO WHEELIES.

The drinking, display or possession of alcoholic beverages, or other intoxicants or controlled substances is absolutely prohibited. City ordinances and state laws will be enforced.

The throwing of any items from motorized or moving vehicles and/or trailers is prohibited. Anyone wishing to distribute candy, fliers or other items must have a person walk within 3 feet alongside the crowd to hand or put items at the feet of spectators.

The Sedro-Woolley Lions Club and the Sedro-Woolley Loggerodeo reserve the right to suspend or bar from the parade at any time any entrant not conforming to the rules and regulations, or refusing to follow the instructions of the police or parade officials.
