About the event

Since its origins in 1982, the UVSA Tết Festival (Hội Tết Sinh Viên) is recognized as the nation’s largest Vietnamese Lunar New Year Festival. Formerly located at the OC Fair & Event Center, we have returned home to Garden Grove this year for the first time since 2013. With over 200 staff members and over 500 day-of volunteers, the UVSA Tết Festival brings together an international audience across a three day weekend to showcase Vietnamese culture, food, and entertainment. Over the past 42 years, the UVSA Tết Festival has significantly improved in many areas over time, such as better displays of Vietnamese culture and traditions, and increased collaborations with local community organizations. UVSA’s vision of hosting the Tết Festival is to create an avenue for everyone to have a better understanding of Vietnamese culture in many ways: vibrant arrays of traditional food, traditional performance and entertainment, and cultural exhibitions.

About the application

Dance like no one’s watching! Talented dance teams from all over Southern California battle it out with their coolest dance moves for cash prizes. Sign up today or enjoy the show!

Terms & Conditions

  1. All teams must be a group of 7 dancers or more.
  2. Performances must be between 5 minutes to 8 minutes long.
  3. One minute before the performance will be reserved for setup, and one minute after the performance will be reserved for clean up.
  4. Dance teams must submit their audio track by 11:59 PM on January 18th, 2025
  5. Rehearsal/Soundcheck will be at 10AM on Saturday, Feb 1, 2025 at The Main Stage.
  6. The actual competition/exhibition show will start promptly at 11:30AM and last until 1:30PM at The Main Stage.
  7. Main Stage Dimensions: 32 ft x 28 ft x 3 ft
