Ornament Contest - Sponsored by New Indy

“Hey guys! ChristmasVille here. Santa and his Gnomes have been working extra hard this year to make sure that ChristmasVille is not canceled. Yes... ChristmasVille is NOT canceled! ChristmasVille will actually be Nov. 27 – Dec. 25. This allows our guests to enjoy the festival in a safe environment. We are not able to encourage large groups of people at one time, so we are spreading the cheer throughout the month of December. Old Town Rock Hill will come alive as a charming, picturesque holiday village with larger than life decorations and mesmerizing light displays. Instead of fighting for parking and waiting in long lines, our guests will be able to stroll the dreamy streets and alleyways, listen to street entertainment, shop and eat on their own schedule. We will have ticketed Christmas events throughout the month, guest appearances and contests galore. To continue the traditions of ChristmasVille we are not able to have in person, we have added new digital experiences including our new app, awesome online contests for everyone, 3D tours and unique shopping trips. Not to mention, live chats with Santa himself and story time with all our characters. Help us spread ChristmasVille cheer on this 15th year!“

Let your creativity take over and create a one-of-a-kind CARDBOARD Christmas ornament. There is only one requirement...the ornament must be made out of cardboard. 

 

HOW TO ENTER:

 

First: Find some cardboard. Craft, create, and decorate the cardboard ornament. Take 4 photos. 

 

• A picture of you creating your ornament. Show us your process! 
• Front and back of your final creation.
• You with your final creation.

Then: Describe your creation. What is your theme? Why did you choose it? Tell us special things about your creation.

 

Finally: Upload your pictures below. If you want to upload to social media, tag us at @ChristmasVille and #ChristmasVilleOrnament

 

Judging, Prizes and Drop-off: After you submit your application, you must drop off your ornament by December 3rd from 10am-5pm at one of the following locations.

• Hamilton & Moore
  • 359 Oakland Ave., Rock Hill, SC
• The Mercantile
  • 130 W. White St., Rock Hill, SC

Your entry will be displayed from December 5-25 in the Center for the Arts windows (121 E. Main St.).

 

A winner will be announced on December 5th on the ChristmasVille app and social media. 

 

Downtown gift cards will be awarded at each of the following levels:

• Under 12 years old
  • 1st Place: $100
  • 2nd Place: $75
  • 3rd Place: $50
• Teen (13-19 years)

If you wish to pick up your entry please do so on December 28th by 5pm. You must indicate such on your application otherwise your entry will be discarded on December 29th.

 

All contestants and their guests must honor the mask requirement during the drop-off and pick up at each designated location.
