Center Stage Audition Application

Denver's PrideFest is the largest LGBTQ+ Pride Event in the rocky mountain region! Audition winners will have the chance to perform for over half a million attendees. This audition is open for all ages. All audition winners will receive a stipend for their time and effort.

Check-in: 6:00pm to 7:00pm | Auditions: 7:00pm to 9:30pm

With limited space available, we are looking for performers who:

• Represent our diverse LGBTQ+ community
• Deliver great stage presence and high energy
• Have not performed on Center Stage at Pride previously *exceptions may apply

Invite your friends and family to auditions to cheer you on and help you win the fan favorite vote!

APPLY EARLY! We will cap the number of invidiuals auditioning due to time restrictions. Once the audition slots fill up, they're gone! All applications will be reviewed and the committee reserves the right to not accept all audition applications.

Application deadline: Monday, April 15 or when all spots are full.

Once your application is complete, you will receive an email with information on whether or not you have been selected to audition. We prefer to highlight local performers.

CENTER STAGE AUDITIONS

WHEN: Thursday, April 18 - Registration starts at 6:00 pm

WHERE: Town Hall Collaborative - 525 Santa Fe, Denver, CO 80204

CENTER STAGE AUDITION TIMING:

• Check In and Register 6:00 to 7:00 pm (If you don't check in by 6:00 pm, your slot will go to someone else)
• Auditions start at 7:00 pm sharp
• Performers will audition in the order in which they arrive/sign in. The Stage Manager will manage time slots and will notify you when your audition time is coming up. Please stay at the venue to wait your turn so that you can be notified.
• Please audition with the song you would like to perform on Center Stage.
• NO LATE CHECK-INS ACCEPTED

We are looking for dance troops, burlesque or boylesque acts, drag performers, singers, comedians, hula hoop performers, jugglers, contortionists and more! Please Note:

• We cannot accommodate aerialists or acts that require additional rigging.
• No fire acts allowed.
• NO bands or singers that require additional sound setup.

RULES:

• Please bring your music on a USB thumb drive saved as a .MP3 or .WAV format. Only the song you are performing should be on the USB-no other files or music. No music on phones. You MUST bring a USB thumb drive.
• It is your responsibility to make sure that your USB thumb drive works properly. We will not be able to problem-solve during the auditions.
• Time limit: 6 minutes or less. If you exceed 6 minutes, you will be asked to leave the stage. You will be timed.

JUDGING GUIDELINES: Are you entertaining? Do you have high energy? Do you have stage presence and connect with the audience?

AUDITION TIPS: To all performers, make sure you bring your A game, a positive attitude with a smile attached PLUS your friends and supporters as they will help to keep the energy off the roof!

DOORS OPEN AT 6:00 pm. Drink specials will be available. Stay and party after your audition!
